Flinders Link Project detailed plans
Flinders Link Project detailed plans
The State Commission Assessment Panel is seeking representations about the extension to the Tonsley Rail Line (Public Notices p53, Adelaide Advertiser 19 September 2018). Detailed plans will be available later this morning from https://www.saplanningcommission.sa.gov ... ic_notices. Expect multiple files and hundreds of megabytes of technical drawings. For a quick overview the first document should have everything.

It is also the headline story on Adelaide Now
Re: Flinders Link Project detailed plans
That proposal looks pretty good but they should make a start on that rail bridge pretty quickly while there is already construction work going on. Leaving it until the roadworks are complete would be a waste of the work currently being done. The only possible downside is the location of the proposed station as I can't see too many day patients and visitors using it as it's a bit of a walk to get inside whereas the buses stop right outside the entrance.
Re: Flinders Link Project detailed plans
Might be jumping the gun here but it looks like the process of building one of the rail bridge supports might have already started. There's what looks like the steel reinforcements for a concrete pillar just to the north of the Flinders Drive/South Rd intersection.
Also notice Google maps has been updated to reflect the new traffic lanes and flyovers in that area. Interestingly the maps are revised but if you go into the satellite view you can see how it all was before the works started. Quite interesting to see the differences as most of us have probably already forgotten what it was like. Street view puts yo in the middle of the construction work as well.

...and another is being built next to the northbound lanes. Rail extension looking good, unless these are for something completely different.
