Noticed that Stop B1 on West Tce has been reinstated. Will certainly provide a convenient access point to the new RAH for passengers coming form Grange Rd services.

I thought everything except CB80s were completely banned from doing 196s of any kind.

Do you remember when it was removed, and why?

I have a memory that it was removed at the same time that the City Connectors were introduced; which would be January 2014. Somebody probably thought that only the 99C serviced that stop and removed it as a result (but I'm speculating there).

SL's 2837 was seen with hazards on, on King William St this afternoon. Ambo rocked up shortly after, not sure what the 'medical story' was exactly :|

According to TransitTimes, it was on a 228F to to Smithfield. Also noted was that it was running 39min late by the time it left King William St (X1).
Going by the large delay, I presume it was something a little more serious than most incidents. Driver made up some time, being only 32min late by the time he reached Main Nth Rd.

And probably still early at Smithfield due to this timetable having way too much time? I'd be interested to know how much time it actually made up.

This prompts the question, what operated 196s before CB80s appeared?

I'm wondering about this as well. I have seen a video of a PMC overwidth SL200 climbing the Kalyara Rd hill, so obviously older vehicles can still make it up there. I just hate seeing CB80s show up on this run 24 out of 25 times.

I actually see the ex-Darwin buses show up on these runs quite a lot these days. I've even seen SL202 CNGs. 197Xs are almost only operated by CNG buses.

Detours for the Tour Down Under 2017 can be found here: http://www.adelaidemetro.com.au/Announc ... Under-2017

A possible error is on stage 2 (Stirling to Paracombe), where apparently NO SouthLink buses will need to detour. I will assume the T863, 863F, 864F, 865, 866 and possible 894 services will all need to detour or will be cancelled (like last year when the 868 was cancelled). Also the 801 detour seems a bit iffy, mostly because the 800C, 802C and 803 haven't been mentioned, even though they go down the same roads. Still, I guess AdMet don't need to mention them at all so it's good they're saying anything.

Accidentally posted this in the question's thread... The Volvo B8RLE is now registered SB16MH, suggesting it might be delivered to an operator soon.

Looks like I spoke too soon, detours for AdMet services in Stirling are up. Bit different to normal, probably because this year it is the start of the stage rather than the finish.

It's at Lonsdale. Don't know where it's being allocated though. Photos to follow.

Let's hope it doesn't become 2901.... I was concerned that this range would be reserved for some vehicles that would make the earlier delivered K230UBs seem like NL202s in comparison.

The 2901 number was affixed to one of the staff cars, a blue Yaris or Echo I think. Don't know why it was numbered like that as it couldn't have been an AdMet allocation. Also I'm pretty sure there were two additional staff cars that had 2902 and 2903 showing on the rear window.

Trams now operating along the full length of the line after previously being suspended between stop 8 and South Tce in this morning's peak. Stop 6 South Rd remains closed. Most bus routes along Anzac Hwy and Beckman St this morning were chock-a-block full! Were any substitute buses operating?

Bus 3225 is doing the Crafers-Stirling shuttles, which replace the 864F services. As far as I know it will be the same bus with the same driver for the duration of the shuttles. 864F buses are detouring via the freeway.

According to various news sources - South Rd is closed indefinitely between Anzac Hwy and Cross Rd until DPTI are satisfied. Both directions closed off, all surrounding roads banked up. I can only imagine the chaos come peak hour this evening, if it's still closed... :|

So as southern residents would probably know, South Rd is in fact still closed between Anzac Hwy and Cross Rd. Meaning peak hour chaos of course, what else!

After observing TransitTimes, South Rd buses were affected majorly due to the detour/traffic jams.
Express buses (721X, 722X, 723X, T721X) were detouring via Goodwood Rd, while others (719, 720, 721F, 722F, 723F, T721, T722) were detouring Marion Rd-Cross Rd.

Below is a screenshot taken just earlier, showing 722F/722X/T722. As seen, one T722 was running 48min late! Average delay time I was seeing, was around 20-25min :|
Screenshot_2017-01-18-17-42-06.jpeg
According to a post earlier this afternoon by DTPI, it is likely that the closure will continue on into tomorrow. Meaning, morning peak services will be affected this time round.
With that in mind, if you're travelling into the city tomorrow - (by car) take an alternate route, (by bus) allow for delays and don't take it out on the bus drivers, they can only do so much! :P

All bad and everything, but what about that 722X that's running 14min early?

I have a feeling that's a glitch, there is no way ANY South Rd buses were running early. Put it this way, express buses were late as they were stuck getting into the city on the run beforehand.. :|

Going on what was said about South Rd yesterday - the Transport Minister has said today, that it is unlikely that it will reopen until Saturday at the earliest... :|

The 722X technically doesnt have to use South Road as it wouldnt be missing any stops, maybe it got a good run on another road?
You got a real flash bus, but my one's flash one, eh
And I believe that my one's faster than yours, Mr Bond
