Thank you, there is also a few other buses that I'm searching for. Would there be any way of me trying to find them?mmosca447 wrote:callum1515 wrote:Any idea how I would be able to find out what time 3401 is doing routes today
I know 3401 usually does the 10:15 T840 outbound and it would do a fair few T843's but not sure of any others.

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
Is there any reason the DPTI has no printed or online timetables available for the Outer Harbour rail subs? Surely it doesn't cost millions of dollars to print a few of them. How on earth does one know when the service runs?
Do you have any fleet numbers you could mention to make this question easier to answer?
Without knowing which buses they are, it's hard to provide any assistance in regards to this.callum1515 wrote:

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
Outer Harbor and Grange timetables ARE available on the Adelaide Metro website. Not the easiest to find; they're hidden (as usual) in the page containing the closure notice - http://www.adelaidemetro.com.au/Announc ... ember-2017.

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
542 is most likely to be found on weekday broken shifts, or occasionally straights. You're probably more like to find 443 out on a straight than the other.
443 is a standard SL202 in good mechanical condition, with a Voith 3 speed transmission that limits it to just over 90kph (91kph on the flats). It is nothing interesting, excluding the fact that it operates on the O'bahn on the occasion that it's available to a driver that wants to take it on the track. It was out on weekends at least twice in 2016.

Yes. If it's any help, I rode 1360 on a H1 towards Outer Harbor at about 11am on Thursday last week.
An easy way to get 542 is usually on a weekday morning at about 8:30 on a 645 becoming an M44 at Marion.

Okay thank you for your help everyone
Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
Earlier on this week I rode my first LCB SL202 (after 10 years of taking notice of what bus I was on!) and noticed it had a really jumpy transmission.
Every time the voith transmission changed up every person on the bus seemed to jolt forwards in their seats. This bus was 888

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
That sounds like 432, which has a Voith transmission and jolts into the third gear. 888 has a ZF transmission. It certainly didn't have that issue earlier this year, but if you report it to Morphettville Depot, they'll take a look at it and fix it.mmosca447 wrote:Earlier on this week I rode my first LCB SL202 (after 10 years of taking notice of what bus I was on!) and noticed it had a really jumpy transmission.

Just had another look and the bus was actually 884. Does that also have a ZF?Diesel_MAN wrote:That sounds like 432, which has a Voith transmission and jolts into the third gear. 888 has a ZF transmission. Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
1624 is much, much worse than any LCB bus I've been on. It was literally like a two wheeled bus, as the suspension reminded me of the jelly suspension rogue powerup in Carmageddon 2. It had vibrations coming from the gearbox as well.mmosca447 wrote:Earlier on this week I rode my first LCB SL202 (after 10 years of taking notice of what bus I was on!) and noticed it had a really jumpy transmission.

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
All SL202 CNGs have a ZF transmission, as do all other MAN buses currently in service in Adelaide, excluding the diesel-fueled SL202s.mmosca447 wrote:Just had another look and the bus was actually 884. Does that also have a ZF?

I didn't even think 888 had Voith, I thought all of the CNG powered SL202's had ZF. Mind you I don't remember the last time I went on 888.mmosca447 wrote:Earlier on this week I rode my first LCB SL202 (after 10 years of taking notice of what bus I was on!) and noticed it had a really jumpy transmission.

Nope I stand corrected all SL202 CNG's have a ZF.transenthusiast wrote:I didn't even think 888 had Voith, I thought all of the CNG powered SL202's had ZF. Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
I rode one of the Southlink Rosas today (2605) and noticed it had no stop buttons that I could see. How is somebody supposed to request a stop? Just call out to the driver? I got off at Hallett Cove int. so it was no problem for me though.

Yes, in the Rosas, passengers just call out to the driver when they want the next stop.
Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
I've been researching the differences in bus appearances for a school assignment and I was thinking about the visual differences between NL202's and SL202's. Could anyone tell me a list of most of the visual updates inside and out the NL202 got? (I know the SL202 is high floor so no need to mention that one)
Thanks in advance

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
The front and centre doors are different. 1346-1349 had passenger-operated centre doors, but the standard NL202s all have driver-operated doors.mmosca447 wrote:I've been researching the differences in bus appearances for a school assignment and I was thinking about the visual differences between NL202's and SL202's. NL202s don't have a section in the middle for prams or standing passengers like the SL202s do. The layout of the seats is also different, and NL202s have foldable seats in places where a pram or wheelchair will need to go.
The exterior of an NL202 has straight edges, but the SL202s have a slight curve on the edges. If that doesn't make sense, comparing pictures should show you what I mean.

Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
Hey everyone, tomorrow morning I'll be catching a couple of buses. A 720 at around 8 and a C1 to Elizabeth at quarter past nine. What kind of buses could I expect at this time if there's any kind of way of guessing the bus type at that specific time? Thanks
Re: The Random Admet Question Thread
The C1 at that time of the day is likely to be a Scania K230 rigidmmosca447 wrote:Hey everyone, tomorrow morning I'll be catching a couple of buses. Generally early O-Bahn trips on a normal Sunday mornings are rigids.
