[May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
There appears to be some problems with Transit Times over the last 24 hours. Not all trips are showing up details.

Already reported and discussed on May 15. Based on the lack of responses to a growing number of complaints by people from various states on Twitter, I think the person who created TransitTimes has abandoned the app. It hasn't been updated in two whole months, not even for the rail subs in the school holidays. Adelaide Metro's GTFS data has been updated several times in that time period.jibb wrote:There appears to be some problems with Transit Times over the last 24 hours. Real-time information for routes 167, 168, 190 and J1, in addition to short-runnings of the first three, has been unavailable on TransitTimes for at least 12 days.bigrobbo wrote:I had no real issues until Wednesday myself.

Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
Glenelg Tram service info has been non-existent on Transit Times since work started on the Jetty Road upgrade, and trams terminated at Brighton Road.
It would appear the problem is with the info that Transit Times gets from Adelaide Metro, as the real problems began when many services in Jetty Road, Gordon Street, Colley Terrace and Moseley Street were further changed, detoured this week, with different termini at Glenelg.
I suspect it will not return to normal until all work is completed on Friday 9th June and normal routes and services resume the following morning.

Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
Southlink and O-Bahn services appear to be showing up correctly.
Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
167 and 168 was working yesterday for me both on the on-line version and the mobile.Diesel_MAN wrote:Real-time information for routes 167, 168, 190 and J1, in addition to short-runnings of the first three, has been unavailable on TransitTimes for at least 12 days.bigrobbo wrote:I had no real issues until Wednesday myself.
Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
How do you access the online version of TransitTimes?
Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
Not available on-line. Go to http://www.transittimes.com.au where you can try and download app for either iPhone or Android.

I also tried downloading it through Android but not available here? Weird considering it contains Australian cities.Diesel_MAN wrote:The Android link says it's not available in this country.jibb wrote:Not available on-line. Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
In the Android version settings the listing of available timetables for download is now empty instead of the range of locations previously available.
Last Adelaide update I have was 24th March. The Outer Harbor and Grange rail services have not been working since the Easter closure.

Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
So is there any other real time app that gives one vehicle IDs in the trip info?
Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
Yeah I wanted to know this as wellTA3001 wrote:So is there any other real time app that gives one vehicle IDs in the trip info?
Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
Unfortunately as far as I am aware no other sites provide Fleet ID. Despite it sometimes failures Transit Times is the best of all the apps relating to Adelaide Metro services. Even Metro Mate doesn`t provide this info.

Another new Scania arrived at Port depot today, assume this will become 1956. With 1955 in service from late last week, 425 hasn't moved at all this week from its spot next to the workshops so I assume it has run its last race.

Got a ride on Southlink 3231 tonight, and I have never a radiator fan that has been so painfully loud! I also noticed that it's interior lights were flickering every time it went over a bump. Nonetheless, it was different, but a bit annoying.
Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
Just received a text from the Transport Minister that tram track upgrade works on Jetty Road Glenelg have finished ahead of schedule.
Testing will take place tomorrow night and tram services and normal bus services in Glenelg will resume on Saturday morning.

Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
Just a thought......would Transit Times Real Time for certain routes be switched off because of the detours around Glenelg?
This could explain J1, 167, 168, 263/263/265 and 251/252/253/254 not currently working.
See what happens when Jetty Rd opens up again.

Real-time information for the next 320 to Marion Centre is available, but not yet for the next 320 to Aberfoyle Hub.jibb wrote:Yes that is the case also 300/g10/g20/320 were also not available. Will be interested to see tomorrow morning or Monday morning if they return to normal!

hit by a bus at Golden Grove
AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD boy is in hospital with head injuries after he was hit by a bus at Golden Grove last night.
The incident happened about 10.45pm, as the boy was disembarking onto Golden Grove Rd.
A police spokesman said this morning the child and his parents were on their way home from the football.
“He’s gotten off the bus, which was stationary, and he's then turned around and stepped in front of the bus,” the spokesman said.
“Another bus which was going past hit him as it was pulling through.”
The boy was taken to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
Major Crash Investigators last night attended the scene, and any witnesses to the incident are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
The bus involved in this awful accident was 1552. As well as the injuries to the young boy, there would be 2 traumatised LCB St Agnes drivers.
Re: [May/June 2017] SA Transport observations
Now that all Public Transport services in Glenelg are back as normal, Transit Times is now showing all routes real time that had not been available for a few weeks whilst the tram track upgrade and bus diversions were in place.
