was surprised to find out there was 3 ex South African steamers sitting in a rail yard in Auckland.

And they're still there, although one has lost it's bodywork, boiler and tender.
Ex ARA, ARC, YBC, CTL, Redbus, GoBus And now????

They will be moving Soon to Mercer,as that is the new home for Mainline Steam
