I saw that when we went to Christchurch back in July. Was this the one used to launch the Shuttles?

The SOFIA aircraft is a modified Boeing 747SP widebody (serial number 21441, line number 306; registration N747NA;[11] callsign NASA747[11]) with a distinguished history.
