Most I see are the 2850ish
I must admit that I have also seen more of the 285x buses than 284x buses in the past couple of weeks.

I also haven't seen much of the early 104x buses (1041, 1042 and 1043 especially). I do note that 1046 has been at HBL Brendale recently. I wondered if these buses may be having a bit of work done on them now they have left the Blue CityGlider.

I currently have Toowong with 184 buses which is quite a bit higher than they usually have had historically (about 170 from memory). The delivery of new B8's to Toowong has not been matched by the number of MANs going to Garden City (and thus the retirement of the Scanias).

Yes. 2859 is now in service and I think 2860 is quick to follow. I will have to admit I have seen 1045 and 1037 and 1039 today, so probably coincidental.

It looks like BTbuses.com will never update itself. I used it and was a common reporter until it became unreliable with both the withdrawal of Scanias and B8s. I expect that the website is maintained by a volunteer but that volunteer should be more open to these new ideas... ashamed

BT Enthusiast, you will be happy to know T2842 has returned.

Yay. 2841 and 2843 were never transferred so it was something expected from me. Saw 2842 on a 428 today, BT changing the letter and repainting is really good. I'm guessing that they use stencils.

I have here two questions
- why are some MAN gassies running without the kite? I've been on 1321 and 1368, and can spot that 1373 also has no kite. Why is this? Also I notice most of these no kite buses are at G and are voiths
- BT skips quite a few fleet numbers e.g 1100 to 1200, 2353 to 2801. Do they have any intention to return or is the future 3xxx?

Also, is it a thing now that the destos on the new buses on front side seem really squished?

The bloke who runs it doesn’t like uploading submitted pictures it seems, the only B8RLEA pic up is of 1631 too.
I submitted some B7s around 12 months ago and they’re still not uploaded, also shared some info and nothing has been updated, same goes for fleetlists.busaustralia.com, majority of info on there is from more than 5 years ago, hopeless i say.

Well, it is only a hobby, not a job. By all means, if you want, go start a fleet list page. But don't give them sh!t if they have decided to stop or take a break.

W1445 is now T1445. YES...WHY BT? WHY WHY WHY...WE WANT B8'S WE WANT B8'S

I AM ANGRY. WE HAVE ENOUGH CNG MAN'S. (yes I know there is some logical reasoning behind this but b8's are so much better than man's [no criticism please, just my personal opinion])
If there are so many CNG's at T, does that mean that more buses will have to be out at a time because of the shorter range of CNG? And also, does BT have any plans to improve the suspension of the buses that will decrease the bumpiness (hopefully??) The worst so far is 1267, with a smashed panel and a clickety-clackety door. The driver got so annoyed at the door that he punched it, but it still went click-clack.

It has been refurbished also, with the exit only at rear door sign. The top and the interior still say W1445, but rear and side say T1445. Operating routes today. The workers unfo. painted the T before the W had dried, so there is a smudge. Not so great.

1927 and 1928 have returned to Sherwood (from Carina), 2077 and 2078 have returned to Eagle Farm (from Sherwood).

If 1445 is at Toowong then I guess that 1299 or 1345 is nearly on its way. I believe this is a short-term loan, possibly 2840's could go to V again, in return some W CNG MAN's make their way to T.

May I suggest information being posted is accurate before putting it up on here.

“S5028” is in fact C5028 and was running up and down Old Cleveland Rd all day yesterday.

OK. The purpose of this discussion is for changes in fleet. If it was S5028 yesterday then it may be C5028 today. I saw it with my own two eyes, and I'm sure you did too. So let's just appreciate the range of people that comment here and the variety of things they can report.

I saw 2857 has a BCC sticker at the rear of bus, but if I wasn't here, Racingnathan I'm sure you wouldn't find out immediately.
C5028 was running up and down old Cleveland Rd all day, the same day you posted as “seeing it” as “S5028”. C5028 has been based at Carina depot for a few years now and before that it was based at Garden City. It has never been based at Sherwood.

I was just providing you with some advice to make sure your observations are accurate before posting about them. Take it or leave it, I know when the information is correct or not, but others might not.

There is a significant fleet movement involving Toowong depot buses coming up soon and that’s all I will say about that.

Will we ever get B8 Tags?

I'm sick of those crammy MANs

Is there any rate of stopping? I feel like a new model is on the horizon, but then again Volvo with BT- they only have B8 or less advanced buses. I, unfortunately, wouldn't say they would get electric for Toowong, because you get 333's up to Chermside and 444's down to Moggill. Maybe B5????

1523 now at G

Given current fleet purchases, they will be B8 Artics. More maneuverable than tags and less damage/litigation from insurance claims from tail swing.

I can see that in this pic of 1373, it does not wear the clean air kite on any faces. Can anyone explain? It also looks like this on 1368 and 1321

Probably the same reason why some TransLink livery buses do not have the swirls over the windows.

When windows are broken the decals are not replaced.

Maybe, but on the whole bus, it is quite peculiar. I have seen some definitely with one or two missing panels (which looks sooo ugly), but a whole bus is quite extroadinary. There's also no kite on the rear or the front. In the reflection of it you can see a Maroon CityGlider with new wrap.
