May I ask how you know it has been withdrawn? I recall seeing it in service not so long ago.EamonMBT wrote:T1200 is the first Brisbane Transport MAN 18.310 to be withdrawn from service (Apart from T1203).

I am in the Brisbane Transport Past and Present Facebook group and one of the fellow members posted about it being retired and I do have a screenshot that I would add but I don't know how to.daveeyh wrote:May I ask how you know it has been withdrawn? You'll first need to save the screenshot, then on the forum click on 'postreply'. Then, at the bottom, click on 'Upload attachment'. Beware as the file size can only be up to 300kiB. You might need to download an image compressor to attach it.

Any news on when 1309 is going to G? It might be something to do with the AoA.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Some news:
1241 has all signage removed ready for withdrawal
1200 has kite and all other remnants removed for withdrawal.
These two buses should be going very soon

T2877 is the latest arrival in revenue service that I've seen so far.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
1277 now also has its signage removed. Not sure if it's ready for withdrawal though. Could just be having a panel upgrade
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
2878 was in revenue service today.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
2879 is out now too.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Observations today:
Volgren
Parked at Volgren today were T1298, T2856 and T2882 (rego XQ 50 JU).
Eagle Farm Depot
Six MAN buses parked in back lanes - hard to identify exactly which ones as all decals have been removed (in contrast to the Scanias where the fleet numbers were left on the buses).
I could identify T1200 (rego plates still attached) as well as T1238 and T1241 (could make out the outline of where the rear fleet number used to be).
Toowong Depot
T2802 and T2804 were parked near the garages.
T2876, T2877 and T2879 are respectively registered XQ 98 IH, XQ 85 IH and XQ 13 JU.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Looking at aerial photography Eagle Farm depot has been dumping ground for gas buses for a long time.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
As it is right next door to Manheim, it is the perfect place for disposal of buses. The buses for auction used to be housed on the Manheim site but now remain at Eagle Farm Depot during the auction process.ABS wrote:Looking at aerial photography Eagle Farm depot has been dumping ground for gas buses for a long time.
The only Scania that I could see at Eagle Farm today was 664.

2816 now has Christmas deco... A tree and some baubles, and some festive flowers
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Sighted V2177, V2178 and T2803 today.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
S1631 and T2852 are the Christmas buses for their respective depots if I'm not mistaken. Haven't seen the rest out and about yet.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
1297 now at G
1277 still in service
1247 withdrawn
I believe 2878 and 2879 are currently being used for the 4KQ Christmas Lights Tours.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Don't think so. I think they are just withdrawing the MAN's early to match the delivery of the b8s
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
No. The last seven (626, 627, 630, 633, 646, 650 and 676) are all still in service. I was actually on 626 today.Merc1107 wrote:Have they finished withdrawing the Scanias yet?
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Have sighted V2179 as well. Maybe all the B8's are off to Toowong...daveeyh wrote:Sighted V2177, V2178 and T2803 today.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
Saw 1247 in service on Thursday and parked at Toowong Depot today still with full decals.BT Enthusiast wrote:1247 withdrawn
1208 at Towoong Depot today with all decals removed so looks to have been withdrawn.
E2883 (XQ 16 JU) parked in one of the Eagle Farm Depot garages today.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
When was the age limit for how long buses can stay in service for BT changed from 21yrs to roughly 15yrs? Surely must be sometime after the Australs were withdrawn as they were the last ones to make it to 21yrs.

The age limit was not changed. Deliveries are ahead of the age curve.
