to be honest, I dont think the orange/ brown stripe would not meet up perfectly if it was continued over the concertina.

They are Supervisor field vans. Often used in morning peak to run along routes if there's a breakdown/cancellation and a replacement bus/driver can't be arranged, among other supervisor duties.
