ACTION Tour

Postby TP 3000 » Sun Apr 26, 2009 7:14 pm

I'll be the first to post pictures of our lovely tour of (the soon to be demolished) Belconnen Interchange & its replacement. We also had a drive around Canberra suburbs & tourist spots such as Black Mountain, Mt Ainsile, Fairbairn Park, Parliament House, etc. We were also called by ACTION to run a few football supporters upto Canberra Stadium.
This tour was conducted in Canberra's first Renault PR180.s MkII, as it will dissapear in the next year or so. My pics are as such:

Bus 700 at Black Mountain Tower

Bus 700 at Fairbairn Park

Bus 700 at Mt Ainsile

Bus 700 at Parliament House

Bus 838 at Belconnen Interchange Bus Layover

For a laugh I thought I'd add this one in. It is of Bus 700 (Again), but somewhere on the other side is a Taxi that parked in the bus bay & was boxed in. We all then got out & took a few pictures (just so that taxi had longer to wait)

I selected what I thought were the best. The rest can be found at http://photobucket.com/ACTIONTour
As per usual, comments welcome.

I hope everybody had a great day out at Canberra today and it's good that the weather was kind. It will be sad when the Renault PR180.s MKII's get withdrawn from service I reckon and good pic of Telstra Tower also. The last time I went up there was back in 1990 when it was called Telecom Tower.

The weather wasn't that nice. It was windy, raining & bloody cold.
