They might have been nice looking coaches back in their day, but they were horrid things to drive

Yes underpowered, a stupid 2 speed diff that you couldn't change down whilst moving, piddly luggage bins (great for 40 Japanese or yank suitcases!), always throwing fan belts (one must have been over 2 metres long!!), "wind up" ratchet operated park brake.

That's one with the rear door. I think it was later in Clipper Tours livery.

IIRC it was sold to Personality Tours who already had a Hedges bodied 0302, that operation sold out Deanes

The Foley's Scenic Tours - TV073 - 40' footer Domino Hedges body 302 was retrofitted with the 303 v8 engine and 6 speed box, good to drive but the gear change was very close in the side movement at the top of the stick. Not a lot of luggage room, you learn to pack tightly and use every space. You couldn't use the toilet with one driver -George Baron later with VIP - as his souviners were stored in there. last seen in Carnarvon WA

The Detours MAN coach is ex Newmans Tours Sydney -TV073 - (Yes same rego number - Foleys / Chester Coaches then became Carah / Newmans) 22-280 / 3 axle with a New zealand Coach International body as a 41' footer with the back cut to make it a 40' to comply to Australian specs. After a time in the Sydney operation it moved to the Cairns depot to replace the Carah RFW. The MAN is now parked at Brandon between Ayr and Townsville. Looked at it the other month in a sad state but restorable

Number 2 ended its life with Woodhill Coaches, but instead of being in the pink livery it was in green. I think and correct me if I'm wrong but Murrays had owned this coach prior to Woodhill. Around 2005 or thereabouts the bus was sold. This was prior to the Bus Qld group taking over Woodhill.
