Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to get a ride on the Scania 14.5, looks very strange being so long in that livery. Need an ad or two to break up all the green.

Yeah the green is too much. Would have looked much better if the window line was straight all the way. Would have been even better if the buses ACTION were getting were Artics just like the Scania in the pictures.
One other odd thing is the half size rear door. I can understand having a half sized door on a standard length bus, but not high capacity buses like this.

The window line on the ACTION 14.5m is very awkward, would look better if it was straight, or if it didn't have such a steep angle where it steps up.

That is just in line with the the MAN's, which have the window line in this style. I agree for the 14.5 (Gives it way too much green), however on the MAN's it looks great with the angle up.

On the standard length buses it doesn't look too bad, but do prefer the look of the standard length Scania's. Though on this beast it is just too much down the back.Sir Pompously wrote:That is just in line with the the MAN's, which have the window line in this style. A pity they kept with the single glideaway centre door, although with ACTION's incomprehensible interchange-only policy for those doors I suppose it suits them. It'll be fun trying to get off one of those from the back seat when they are packed in peak hour.

Evidently just having air conditioning is not good enough in Canberra ... it has to be "Climate Controlled".

It could of also broken up some of that huge green patch. It makes me wonder what the livery would of looked like if ACTION had purchased artic's instead.SM247 wrote:A pity they kept with the single glideaway centre door, although with ACTION's incomprehensible interchange-only policy for those doors I suppose it suits them. That is apparently the new politically correct term. Anyway Canberra is bloody cold in winter & bloody hot in summer, so controlling the climate in the bus to make it comfortable sounds inviting to the public who have no choice but to sit at a bus stop in -6 degrees for 15 minuteskitkat271 wrote:Evidently just having air conditioning is not good enough in Canberra ... it has to be "Climate Controlled".

Don't you know how dangerous it is letting the passengers off the rear door at a normal bus stop? Same too with having 3 doors on an artic, it is just too dangerous to have these in the ACT!SM247 wrote:A pity they kept with the single glideaway centre door, although with ACTION's incomprehensible interchange-only policy for those doors I suppose it suits them. Ironicaly current government policy is to do away with interchanges, as evidenced in Belconnen, so what becomes of the open at interchange only policy? And before anyone mentions the new interchange that is going to be build at the mall, it is going to be a very poor substitute, so hardly a full bus interchange, it is nothing more than a glorified street stop.
