YES I DID DRIVE BOTH. Leyland was used as back-up when the Volvo was being serviced.

INITIALLY, it started @ Kaoota with an old (Redline) Ansair Leyland, which got sold then replaced with the National. From Kaoota it travelled along Sandfly Rd to Margate, up Redwood Rd, via Blackmans Bay (Roslyn Ave) to Kingston (Coles Car Park). From there up the outlet to Hobart College, through the City, up Harrington, Warwick, Elizabeth St to Dominic Primary (Bowden St Glenorchy) then up to the Middle School @ top of Tolosa. From there it commenced another run from Tolosa St to Glenorchy Primary. (Where the bus would stay until the PM)

These buses look good after being repainted! The Volvo B58 didn't have School lights fitted when the bus was refurbished and repainted in the last pic so DK 3688 had the School lights fitted at a later stage I take it?

Yes. Likewise, in the 1st picture the Leyland didn't have them fitted, BUT were at a later date. Can't remember what date/year the flashing lights were made compulsory.

Check the other thread about the Tas National @ Gympie, and you'll see it doesn't look too bad.
