Re: Photo request - ZF 0405's and 1288
The thing was that I have been on a ZF O405 diesel high but not TP1288 back in my days. When I hopped on the O405 bus on the Route 111T, I heard some kind of weird vibration coming from the back of the bus. The good news was that the bus had a zippy take off from 1st to 2nd gear. A 4-speed ZF transmission would be better than OC500LE with 6-speed ZF as it screeched so loud.

Nice shots of what look like nice buses. Are they seen as good buses?PoweredByCNG wrote:Hi there,

I'm also assuming that they're high-floor, are they the last? Adelaide is down to it's last high-floor chassis (MAN SL202 with some CNG as well).
Long live the high-floor bus!

Our last high floors are Renault PR180.2, and Mercedes Benz O405 CNG's (like 1106, but, well - gas).
Cheers!

So just to clarify - the pictures shown above are of O405 Diesels, high floor but now removed?Off The Rails wrote:Our last high floors are Renault PR180.2, and Mercedes Benz O405 CNG's (like 1106, but, well - gas).

Well, there were constant power struggles between drivers for them at the bus depots that these buses operated out of, if that's of any indication!Lt. Commander Data wrote:Nice shots of what look like nice buses. Are they seen as good buses?
They're the last remaining high floor rigids in service in Perth, yes. The units pictured in my original post have all been withdrawn and were recently sold at auction.I'm also assuming that they're high-floor, are they the last? I'd love to get hold of one of these for a camper conversion. What did they go for at auction? Any Ideas?
