Perth visit. Part 1

Post by boronia »

Spent a recent long weekend in Perth and managed to find time for some transport photos.

Part 1 was a train ride down to Fremantle; a few shots around the station and shopping strips.

Its a shame you weren't about for the peak-period, as Freo does get a bit more interesting round then with NH's, Gas-NH's and even the odd Reno artic pludging about on suburban routes, or the wonderful routes to Perth via practically any variation you can imagine plus the Kwinana Freeway.

Nice shots though. Its interesting to note the changes to scenery (buses) over time. Ten years ago Freo would've been quite a different picture to today!

Nice shots, I love the Optimus body. It's a shame the ex-Adelaide O 305 Gs didn't go to Transperth, that would be an interesting addition to their fleet.

These were taken between 0800 and 0930 on Saturday morning. Never had to wait for more than a couple of minutes at those locations for the next bus to come along. Was very impressed with that level of service, considering that buses were arriving from 4 or 5 different directions.

Found a few Renault artics in other areas, will post these photos later

Great range of shots and interesting scenery from around Perth. Nice to see something other than Custom bodied buses, thanks for sharing these with us. You captured some very nice pics over the long weekend, good job :)

All true. I stay in Fremantle when in Perth. The bus action is so intense along Market St it's hard to concentrate on shopping as you're looking up what seems like every 30 seconds to observe a bus going past to all sorts of destinations! You're spoiled for choice there.
