AAT Kings in Fitzroy Crossing

Post by Mr OC Benz »

While staying overnight in Fitzroy Crossing in WA's north a couple weeks back, I stumbled across this AAT Kings Scania K420EB. NT registrated MO3267, No. 104. These are rather "mighty" vehicles, especially up close!

I've seen these with WA (TC plated ones), SA and now NT registered ones...they certainly seem to get around.

There's a lot of NT rego ones that I saw. There is one on TC plates, 101 I think it is and I think I have a photo of it.

Another lot that I saw quite a bit were Greyhound coaches doing runs between Perth-Darwin. Broome to Darwin, Kakadu to Darwin, Alice Springs to Darwin, and they certainly get around because I sighted the same one first near Port Hedland, then again heading to Alice Springs!

Also some now on NSW plates. Look at fleet lists. All Scanias of this type are on extended tours. Regardless of rego most are based at Botany, Sydney (a couple are Darwin based at the moment)

Saw one of the Coach Concept units today in the Blue Mountains, NSW in Contiki livery. Couldn't get a photo.
Think for yourself, while it's still legal !
