On Australia Day I was lucky enough to be invited to my first enthusiast tour, which consisted of Volvo ("Brown Bombers") #1440/2405, #1445 and #1466. Below are some of my better shots from the day.
I also took a video on 2405 when we were descending Greenhill Road, you can hear some of the trademark "howl" and also see some of the best scenery on an AdMet route (although we weren't on a route, routes 821 and 822 operate along this road). Not the best quality but it does the job.

Thanks to everyone involved, don't think they are active users of this board but anyway.

Re: Preserved Volvos
Great photos as always Data! Funny with 2405 displaying desto L0L-EXPRESS! And I notice you switched your 'avatar' to the 868X-EXPRESS desto. Yes typical with you as it seems to be a hils route(?) 86x should code hills right? Anyways thanks!
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

Anything starting with a '8' belongs to the hills contract area, along with the various 'T8**' routes. But yeah, typical Data and his hills related avatarsBus Suggestions wrote:Yes typical with you as it seems to be a hils route(?) 86x should code hills right? Anyways thanks!

Re: Preserved Volvos
I actually saw a preserved Volvo in Speedstripes livery about a year or two ago and it sounded as good as ever.
