QOCS Tour: Warwick & Stanthorpe Operators - Part 1

Post by Hornibrook »

Hi all,

See attached a very small portion of photos from the QOCS Tour conducted to Warwick & Stanthorpe last weekend.

Part 1 features some photos of the buses we visited in Warwick, plus the coach we traveled in on the day.

Our coach for the day was Stephen Tyrrell's 2007 BCI 3-axle, affectionately nicknamed "Lily" which performed flawlessly throughout the long trip. It is pictured here at our comfort stop as Fassifern, just before Aratula.

On arrival in Warwick at our first stop, we were greeted with possibly the most impressive lineup of vehicles you could ever imagine (Coasters excluded of course). On display was all bar one of the Haidley's current fleet, as well as their historical fleet of PMCSA, Freighter and Denning bodies.

Still operational is 619 HEB - an ex MTT/Melbourne MAN SL200 which is the last operated by the family.

One immaculate example of the Haidley historical fleet is this 1978 Denning bodied V8 Hino RV730P.

About to depart to Stanthorpe was Crisp's 1989 Denning Landseer which retains its predecessor's livery. It funnily enough caught up with us again in Stanthorpe.

More photos to come in Part 2.

Nice shots, but that BCI looks awfully short for a 3 axle! Or is it just my eyes?
