Think I've seen these photos before. Double posting material now Pete.

Re: 901 Smartbuses in 2008
Fleet looked decent before Transdev. Now they are bashed to hell, panel damage on almost every bus, and the interior.... the ex Invictas are by far the worst inside.
Re: 901 Smartbuses in 2008
And the aircon units in the ex Invicta units sound terrible.
Can't believe that was nearly 10 years ago, things have changed a lot since then.

Re: 901 Smartbuses in 2008
In my honest opinion, the 901 should have been kept as a Frankston - Ringwood service.
I don't believe the Orbital bus routes really deliver the benefits that were intended with their implementation.

Re: 901 Smartbuses in 2008
On the contrary, I wish the 901 actually went from Ringwood to Box Hill instead of heading north after Blackburn. That might be a good idea actually, have the bus meet up with the 109 tram just like Vermont South, they don't have to all terminate on top of Box Hill Central.
SmartBus K230UBs 203 and 205 are still going strong as 8903 and 8905 respectively, albeit much worse for wear these days under Transdev as other people have mentioned. The last of the Invicta fleet (e.g. pre-Grenda/Ventura) still in service at Lilydale are in much better condition, even the older buses dating back to 1999-2000. I think the SmartBuses should have remained with Ventura.
