Rare sighting - Port Botany bus on Leichhardt route (8/7/18)

Just another rare sighting a Port Botany Mercedes 0405NH on route 470. Apologies this is posted a bit late.

One would not expect an STA bus to be operating a TSA route 470 trip. Was it definitely a Merc O405NH? TSA also has a 1214 (m/o 1539) which used to be STA 1539 before it went over with region 3.

Yep it is a Mercedes 0405NH, as you may see this bus has bucket seats, the B12BLEs have bench seats. And on top of that it would also be pretty rare to see a Smithfield based bus run route 470.

boronia : what I meant when I said Region 6 Port botany is that route 470 is a region 6 route not the Port Botany depot.

The Smithfield bus could have been lent to Leichhardt as happened to some other buses. But that is unlikely because of the seats. More likely that the number 1214 is wrong - there is nothing to verify that number - possibly 1274 which is one of 50 such buses to have gone to TSA - all at Leichhardt.
