The roof of the vehicle is different where the 2 windows are in the roof. The window behind the driver is different shape too.boronia wrote:Would it be a Denning body?
Re: Merc O302
Looks like a PMC NSW body ( foggy memories these days!!)
Re: Merc O302
The NSW Fire Brigade vehicle was new to Punchbowl BC as m/o 143 - body PMC (0236 8/76) RC49F. It was later rereg PB2740 then later as TV812. It was traded in 1985 (along with 2 other 0.302 / PMC coaches) to Yorkstar. Yorkstar resold this coach to NSW Fire Brigade.
Re: Merc O302

Re: Merc O302
I would have picked it as Custom Coaches. Glad someone knew.
So this is one or the things PMC was keeping itself busy with in the years between their last mark II Leopards for the NSW government and their massive Merc 0305 order.
CKD Leyland Nationals was another notable activity in this wilderness period for PMC.

Can you point out the differences of the windows , Im having trouble picking it up.
Re: Merc O302
I've added a photo of a Denning bodied 0302 of a similar year. Take a look at the side windows. In particular the 2nd and 3rd windows. The gap between them is narrower. The shape of those 2 windows is different too.If you compare these 0302's to others made by Domino,Smithfield,GBW,etc they varied. Also on the roof, where the roof rises you can see there is a difference there too.Every builder had their own design.
Has anyone else got photos of other 0302's?
