Not every day in Sydney, NSW or anywhere in Australia to my recollection that you'd find an abandoned ex London Leyland Titan.
Found this unit in Sydney this afternoon. Anyone know its story ?

Sounds like it hasn't been abandoned for too long according to these stories:

I also found these remains of former Ford Transit BF73EW with Kingsford Smith Transport,
although reported in the disposals listing as having been sold to Sydney Airport Shuttle P/L.

Re: Not every day you find an abandoned..........
I am able to shed some light on this - while it looks 'abandoned' now - the new owner has some extensive (and expensive) plans for it. He popped into the museum on an afternoon I was there a few months ago (it was having some rust issues in a place Sydney leopards also suffered it) - he purchased it from Perth, he owns/operates many food trucks in Sydney. In the time of his purchase and pick up, he had a kid, unfortunately he was born deaf so he turned the run from Perth to Sydney into an opportunity to raise cash for charity.
It's set to undergo some conversion soon

Is this the same Titan that was running around Sydney about 15 years ago?

This bus is T71
It was imported from the UK in 2005. After arrival it went to work as a charter bus in Western Australia for the next few years. It was retired after suffering engine failure on Kwinnana Freeway. Judged commercially unviable to return to service it was sold.
I lost track of it until seeing this picture. Sad to see it looking so forlorn.

It did well to get to this end with a popped engine.cobra007 wrote: It was retired after suffering engine failure on Kwinnana Freeway. Judged commercially unviable to return to service it was sold.
NSW, the state that embraces mediocrity.
