Hamilton Driver Assualted

A Hamilton bus driver was allegedly assaulted by a male passenger on route through Powells Rd, Fairview Downs on Wednesday, after 7pm.

The bus driver worked for Go Bus which is owned by Tainui Group Holdings.

The alleged attacker ran off before police officers arrived. It is believed he had been drinking alcohol.

The bus driver was taken to Victoria Street Clinic Accident and Emergency by ambulance to have his injuries checked.



The driver is a personal friend of mine having been his supervisor. One of the good ones. Still no CCTV in buses there
