Gippsland Rail Corridor Station Upgrade Program On behalf of the Victorian Government we are delivering a suite of upgrades at stations in the Gippsland corridor which will improve accessibility and amenity for passengers of all abilities.
Through the Gippsland Rail Corridor Station Upgrade Program we will improve commuter amenities at Traralgon, Moe, Trafalgar and Morwell stations.
Traralgon Station will get more than 90 additional car parking spaces, and an extra access point to the platform. There will be upgrades to ticket counters, and new toilets and handrails to improve accessibility. Bus shelters will also be improved.
At Moe there will be an extra access point to the platform. The existing station access point and signage will be improved and a new ‘kiss and ride’ parking bay will be installed.
Trafalgar Station will be upgraded with a new platform shelter, an extra access point to the platform and improvements to the bus bay and car park.
Morwell Station will receive more than 50 car parking spaces. An extra access point to the platform will improve the connection between the platform and the underpass. There will also be improvements to the waiting area, ticket counter and disabled toilet.
The scope of works for the program were determined following community consultation carried out by Public Transport Victoria which assessed customer experience and identified priority improvements for stations in the region.
Have your say.
