In addition to the new Ballarat network and changes to 460 & 461 in Caroline Springs commencing on the same day.
PTV wrote: Bus timetable changes to align with new V/Line timetables

In addition to this, some town coach services will be updated to coordinate with V/Line timetable changes as below:

Wallan
The first weekday trip will run 15 minutes earlier.
The last weekday trip will run 18 minutes later.

Kilmore
The first weekday trip will run 15 minutes earlier.
The last weekday trip will run 19 minutes earlier.

Camperdown to Timboon
Minor timetable adjustments will be made to this service. Please check timetables and plan ahead.

Pakenham to Koo Wee Rup
The 3.40 pm weekday service from Koo Wee Rup to Pakenham will now leave Koo Wee Rup at 3.38 pm.
The 4.05 pm weekday service from Pakenham to Koo Wee Rup will now depart from Pakenham at 3.55 pm.
The 3.36 pm Saturday and Sunday service from Koo Wee Rup to Pakenham will now leave Koo Wee Rup at 3.52pm.

For more information and new timetables, see Timetables or call 1800 800 007. Additionally you can plan your journey using journey planner.
I have noticed some issues with the Saturday and Sunday evening connections for Routes 170, 180 and 190, either missing V/Line arrivals by 2 mins (180) or having connections of just 1 min (170 & 190) - it seems they might have tried to align the timetable to connect to inbound Metro trains at Werribee and broken the existing connections which are more likely to be used...

Connections on Route 190 (Werribee – Wyndham Vale) for travel to/from Geelong have largely been standardised at 5 mins in either direction – in the initial June 2015 timetable transfer times varied, with longer connections of up to 10 mins common. This change strengthens the primarily role of the route after Geelong trains were rerouted via the Regional Rail Link in 2015. The consequence however is poorer connections with trains to/from Melbourne at both Wyndham Vale and Werribee and lower vehicle efficiency, particularly in the evenings.

Various runtime updates in both Geelong and Wyndham, cases where up to 10 mins has been slashed from trips.

The last bus from Kilmore East Station is now 20 mins later, not 19 mins earlier.

Kind Regards

Picked up from the information desk at Flinders Street station yesterday was a new Metro timetable for the Werribee & Williamstown lines effective from 30 January 2017. This includes the weekday Altona loop services which have been extended to the City.

Although there are some minor changes to other lines the customer service person didn't think that any other timetables were being reissued.

I assume it has been printed with the new network map?

No, it still has the old Metro map. Maybe printed or ready for printing before the new map was launched?

Consultation on proposed changes to 530 within Fawkner - https://getinvolved.ptv.vic.gov.au/Rout ... ldtoCoburg

Option 1: Maintain status quo with off-peak deviation through south-east Fawkner

Option 2: Operate peak trips via off-peak deviation in south-east Fawkner

Option 3: Modify route via Queens Pde to improve directness and better peak coverage in south-east Fawkner. Fawkner Station no longer served, but passengers can still transfer from trains to Route 530 at Coburg, Merlynston or Gowrie.

From the PTV website:
Minor timetable changes to Route 503 -  Essendon to East Brunswick and Route 506 – Moonee Ponds to Westgarth

From 26 March 2017, bus routes 503 and 506 timetables will be adjusted to better reflect current traffic conditions and improve service reliability. As a result of the adjustment, journey times on both routes will increase by up to six minutes but provide passengers with a more consistent service.

Because of Metro work, buses replace Gippsland trains from Saturday 1 April until Wednesday 5 April.
* Buses replace trains between Melbourne SC and Pakenham, connecting with Traralgon trains.
* Rosedale, Sale, Stratford and Bairnsdale train services will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey to and from Melbourne.
There is limited space for bikes on the buses. No pets are allowed.
Buses arrive and depart from: Southern Cross bus terminal, and stop in Flinders St opposite Degraves St.
Buses do not serve Clayton, take a Metro train to/from Dandenong.
Buses do not serve Richmond, take a Metro train to/from Flinders St or Caulfield.

Pakenham line is also closed between Dandenong and Pakenham until Wednesday night. Replacement buses operating on two routes:
- Dandenong stopping all stations to Berwick
- Dandenong express to Berwick then all stations to Pakenham.

Useless PTV thought that nobody would be using trains during school holidays and is running a reduced frequency between Cranbourne, Dandenong and the city. Reports on Twitter showed major overcrowding on the trains that were still running.

Unsurprisingly many decided to drive on the parrallel M1 today with delays stretching from Pakenham all the way to the city.

PTV have issued another reprint of the 22 April 2012 print-on-demand timetable for Routes 695 (Belgrave - Gembrook) & 695F (Gembrook - Fountain Gate).

Two previous versions (one with U.S. Bus Lines branding & one with Ventura branding) had incorrectly shown the Friday timetable for 695F towards Fountain Gate twice (on the bottom of page 3 & top of page 4) but did not show the Friday 695F times towards Gembrook. This has now been rectified thanks to my tip-off.

For those interested in PTV school runs, I notice that Tullamarine Bus Lines now have information about their vast array of school runs (which mainly operate between Greenvale & Essendon schools) on their website, along with a FAQ - http://tullamarinebus.com.au/school/

Another small operator to put their PTV school bus information online recently is Cranbourne Transit - http://www.cranbournetransit.com.au/school-routes

The associated text could be a bit more polished though - other than endless places and streets written in lower case, there are several references of school buses running to Sky as well as at least one school run serving Currum Downs. :!:

St Albans new bus interchange opens on June 4th which will be used by 408, 418, 419, 421, 425, 942. New interchange beats the old Alfried St interchange(especially 419 stop).
Also among changes is minor TT changes to
418, they quite minor so easy to miss if comparing old and new TTs

PTV wrote: Changes to Route 477 (Moonee Ponds to Broadmeadows Station)

From Sunday 18 June 2017, all Route 477 services traveling towards Moonee Ponds will begin stopping at Broadmeadows Shopping Centre on Tanderrum Way.

The route change comes into effect following passenger feeback calling for improved access to Broadmeadows Shopping Centre.

There will be no change to the timetable of route 477 services and route 477 services will continue to stop at all existing bus stops.

For a more information please call us on 1800 800 007.
The current timetable suggests 19 min layovers at Broadmeadows Station on weekdays, which would explain why passengers are unhappy to board the bus on the way to the station, as traditionally was the setup.

There appears an error with the new stop list, with buses shown to stop on both sides of Pascoe Vale Rd at the station. :?

Route 541 Greenvale

Post by Roderick Smith »

Greenvale bus service slammed for not going far enough.
Hume Leader June 10, 2017.
SOME Greenvale residents feel they are on a “road to nowhere” with the main bus route stopping at least a kilometre short of their houses.
Residents petitioning to get the route extended said the elderly, disabled, people who didn’t drive and mothers with children were left to walk to the last stop in all sorts of weather.
HAVE YOUR SAY: Are bus services up to scratch? Tell us below Bus 541 from Broadmeadows train station to Roxburgh Park stops outside Kolbe Catholic College in Lysterfield Drive on the border of Greenvale.
One resident Mikhael Mikhael said that at 70 he didn’t drive and found it difficult to walk from his house to the bus stop.
“It’s not only me, there are many elderly people here who struggle,” he said.
“There’s also people with all their shopping or mothers with little kids and the walk is too much.
“I have been here since 2009 and everyone finds it too hard to walk.”
Hume Council supported residents and would ask Public Transport Victoria to extend the route, Cr Joseph Haweil said.
“I received correspondence from 33 homeowners … to the north, east and west of Lysterfield Drive requesting that a further bus stop or stops be established to better cater for the residents living as far as Hawkstowe Crescent or Candlebark Drive,” he said.
He said there were probably 200 houses affected and some were a few kilometres away from the last stop.
“Residents in the north continue to suffer due to a lack of easily accessible public transport,” he said.
“There are refugees … who have to master English before they can learn to drive, there’s the elderly or people who can’t afford cars who rely on public transport.
“Governments cannot expect to take pressure off roads while not providing frequent and easily accessible public transport.”
A Transport For Victoria spokesman said Roxburgh Park was “serviced by a Metro train and a number of bus routes, including route 541 from Broadmeadows station”.
“Transport For Victoria will continue to monitor patronage and growth in the area and factor that into future planning.”
•Carpark upgrade not quite concrete.
•New car parking options for Craigieburn train commuters.
•Our best and worst stations.

To be fair, I am guessing that was the outer edge of the estate when the bus service was extended. There's probably a case for extending it along Candlebark Dve and Aitken Blvd to the Craigieburn Central shopping centre to both cater for the estates along there and to provide a link to an activity centre instead of finishing in the middle of nowhere.
