It's deceptive, but it's really note (measured where there footpath actually is vs where Google says it is, and note walking through the park is impossible because Moore Park West is closed until, umm, maybe tomorrow):

I just saw an eastbound 377 from P reversing along the tram only section of the light rail line just after the bus road turns off at Doncaster Avenue. Clearly wasn’t paying attention until he realised the bus stops were off to his right.

That will go well when there are trams on the line. Was he running "bang road"? Should we be buying some double-ended buses? :idea:

I saw a bus using the shared section of Anzac Pde tramline last week, a loaded 893/8 inbound to Central. Wonder if this is a regular thing now? Or even permitted?

They adjusted the red paint specifically to try to avoid that. Obviously not.

I also saw an issue where the outbound busway merges with the tramway or exits to Anzac Pde. That is controlled by traffic signals in two columns - one for each direction - that look like [⬉ B]. To continue on the busway, the bus needs to obey the [⬉] signal. But instead the driver dutifully obeyed the [B] signal. Wastes several minutes.

3004, a new Volvo B8RLE Bustech from Willoughby, was finally in service today.

I actually really liked it. It has the same nice engine sound as the other B8RLE’s STA has, it ran quite buttery smooth, and fixed what’s wrong with the older Scania Bustechs - the seats have more cushion and bit more recline, no awful rattling and the lighting is updated to a softer yellow shade, instead of the harsh fluorescent shade in older units. “bus stopping” sign is updated to something new but this is cosmetic only. But otherwise, apart from also a different AC unit on the roof, it’s visually identical to existing Bustechs.

Looking forward to the rest of the units rolling out at M - while I will miss the old 14.5m high floor Scanias, these new Bustechs are pretty nice indeed

EDIT - wow, how awesome, now I see Port Botany is also receiving some new B8 Bustechs too.

The P batch onwards are also Euro 6 variants.

With all these late model buses coming in spare a thought that we are still in the same decade when we still had 0305s in service. Just imagine the changes in store for the 2020s. Diesel engines may be a thing of the past in ten years (as it should be).
Sydney I don't like you. Your shallow and full of scoundrels. It needs a major shake up.

Who knows if the motor manufacturers will be still building combustion engines for use in cars and all other road vehicles witch include buses in 10 years

There are billions of dollars invested in the petroleum business.

I don;t think the oil companies are going to give that up too easily.

There is an approved alternative special running route via Wakehurst Pkwy, Warringah Rd, Eastern Valley Way and Brook St.
Ringer of bus bells and tram gongs.
