Also just wanted to say I saw a couple of those running on M40 yesterday

More buses were transferred after the M20 decision.

Not sure if this counts as an "observation", but I saw a MAN DD in B-Line livery outbound on Alison Rd yesterday morning. I wasn't able to catch the desto/display.

I'm usually at work on Alison Rd in the morning but this is the first time I've seen a DD. Are they scheduled to do 891's?

The transport Minster announced extension of deckers serving more routes, so I think they were testing it for this area.

I think the Deckers aren’t a bad idea for a route like the 891, with one pick up/set down location. I don’t know if they would be the best for regular route services though.

Spot on Busworth. I agree entirely.

The UNSW services are peaky, so mostly need buses that can be utilised elsewhere at other times.

And it is intended that the trams will carry most of the load from next year.

Yes the UNi bus routes are scheduled to be abolished when light rail comes along.

I doubt that will happen entirely.

Maybe driver training, teaching them how to avoid trees?

There was a B-line DD in the Randwick depot on Monday, not sure why.

Don't worry most along the light rail route have been cut remember all the protests. Though power poles & narrow lanes are an issue. I can't think of Randwick depot route that is suitable for double deckers that aren't uni routes the 400 maybe 370 is fairly long but has it's issues.

Only just noticed all the modern Scania buses have a distinct stop button sound - it’s a low pitched beep, very similar to the sound a seatbelt sign makes.

I think it’s really nice and neutral.

Caught Y’s 2512 on a Parramatta bound M54 service from Macquarie Centre today. It was still sporting a green Travelten ticket machine attached to the gate of the driver’s cabin.

Noticed now according to the fleet lists W has 12.5m Euro 5 Volvo B12BLEs. This type of bus is now at every single STA depot.

Wow, first Port Botany, now this. They really get passed around. The question is ZF or Voith? The ZF editions would make light work off W's more hilly runs. The Voith versions not so much, though still adequate.

ZF variants, spotted 4924 on 400 at Campsie around arvo today. Minor throwback when they used to be based at Burwood depot :)

Ever since the last timetable change for the 288, I've noticed the scheduling of Y's Volvo B12BLEA during the night on weeknights in tandem with the L113TRB's. Great addition to ensure no one is getting left behind at Wynyard on the odd occasion that it did happen.

Reckon it might be more efficient to run all bendies out of Ryde in that region? So Ryde does all the high capacity stuff and M is all rigids? Just for ease of maintenance etc.

I've looked on the Fleetlists and noticed that some Mercedes 0405NHs are being re-activated. One of them is 1131 and I forgot the number of the the other one

I suspect that would have been a correction rather that a withdrawal and then a re-activation.

I've just looked at Anytrip and noticed a Scania L113CRB operating on route 400 which is unusual as Waverley don't operate these vehicles on a Sunday. Unless there's a mistake and it is a Scania L113CRL or L113TRB

3505 is operating on 400 today which is a very rare sight. As I said before Scania L113CRBs don't normally operate on Sundays
