At least they are all on major railways

Is there any growth in more share happening?

But in some cases piss poor road planning.quaidy wrote:At least they are all on major railways
Mac Park being one of these - the poor A3 route is now fast rivalling the A4 in terms of congestion.

I think calling the line through mqp major is something of a stretch.

They should bring forward construction of the Eastwood County Road directly linking Macquarie Park to Parramatta via Kissing Point Road and to Bankstown via Silverwater Road. It would take a lot of pressure off the existing routes via Epping and Top Ryde.swtt wrote:But in some cases piss poor road planning.quaidy wrote:At least they are all on major railways

The only proposal that should go forward for the Eastwood County Rd reservation is the BRT proposal between Parramatta and Macquarie Park from about 8 years ago.

If the government had shown a little bit of foresight, it could be a combined road and light rail project on an existing transport reservation. It makes more sense than the route via Carlingford and Epping. The Epping Traffic Study has just been released by Parramatta Council and it paints a pessimistic future for Epping if the unabated development exceeding current planning controls is allowed to continue. Cars are not going away anytime soon and they will still have to be catered for.iamthouth wrote:The only proposal that should go forward for the Eastwood County Rd reservation is the BRT proposal between Parramatta and Macquarie Park from about 8 years ago.
