Not with a Scania chassis I won't. In sure lady luck will organise it sooner or later.

Whats wrong with a Scania chassis? I mean the VSTs are just awful but ive never really had a problem with anything else.

Five cylinders don't sound right and they run rough. The consumer coaches version (nothing custom about them after they sold their soul to the big operators) is alright though and much smoother.

Re: STA Observations - January to June 2018
Sorry to be so particular, but does anyone know what month of 1972 the PTC officially inaugurated as I know someone born in September that year and want to know I'd they "missed out".DGT to PTC 1972
So this means the DGT started getting the blue treatment as the first mark II Leopard arrived in December of 1969.
Maybe they had already planned for the name change by then.

The PTC came into being on 20 October 1972. The blue livery was introduced with the first Mark 2 (3754) in 1969. It was the 'Shirley blue' livery that was introduced on trains under the PTC and following their acquisition in 1974, to ferries.

The first alanteans were delivered 1970 so that means they were owned by DGT?

Re: STA Observations - January to June 2018
Have noticed a few of the State Transit 85 Buses have had their information sign at the front of the bus removed and replaced with stock standard Bus Driver recruitment ads. I think it’s disapointing, they were interesting and informative sogns

Re: STA Observations - January to June 2018
I've noticed a lot of those hiring ad's in buses from Kingsgrove. Bit insulting really given the precise bus is soon going to be handed over to a new operator but anyways. Otherwise neutral observation, a few buses still have Summer Timetable adverts. And I know a select few that still have Sydney Buses adverts from what looks like the late 2000's Eg warning you to pay your way on buses and ferries or something like that. Perhaps when they actually cared about fare evasion
Re: STA Observations - January to June 2018
Are you sure the add's are not for the new operator?

Not just in K buses. Also in P's, presumably all depots.

I'm sure TSA will make sure all traces of these defunct ads are in for immediate removal upon handover.

Re: STA Observations - January to June 2018
Though I notice some of the bustech buses still have the original ad from the factory. Also I’ve seen P send out a few bendies in inbound trips on the 309 in the afternoon peak presumably to do outbound Anzac Pde services afterwards.
Re: STA Observations - January to June 2018
STA are still in control of Region 6 until the end of June, so it is business as usual which includes recruiting new drivers up until the last weekday. TfNSW require the amount of driving staffing available to be at a certain level so a viable business can be handed over.Jurassic_Joke wrote:I've noticed a lot of those hiring ad's in buses from Kingsgrove.
