Why are the Train bus route 110's going using Steel St instead of Stewart Ave?

Who says they are? The map for 16th May still shows Stewart Ave.

What is that logo on the drivers side at the rear of the bus? are these in a special livery for some reason?

Assume it's the similar N into the Chevron that they are using on the Newcastle light rail

Re: http://busaustralia.com/forum/viewtopic ... 4#p1025614
The other day (Friday or was that Thursday? - yikes I'm forgetting!) three 110's came within 5 minutes of each other, with two 110’s with only a few cars between them!

Does that mean their was a long gap between some of the 110's?

And I wonder why they didn't start the two digit route numbers from 10, instead of 11?

Possibly because someone there knows that numbers don't start at '0', so that the second decade starts at 11 and not 10. and so on.

Significant late running seems to be an ongoing problem whenever I randomly check TripView any day of the week.

I visited Newcastle in April.

Both the 11 and 13 from the city to John Hunter Hospital were running horridly late [the one from the Hospital I wanted to use to Charlestown was 23 minutes late] and two route 13s came together to Glendale. These are two of the key routes on which other connections hinge.

The smart idea would be to terminate 11 & 13 at the Station Interchange, as the late running occurs mainly in the City Centre sector which is a mess with all the construction.

With the timetabled period of 35 minutes from the Station Interchange Into the city terminus and return to the Station Interchange using both services, it could probably free up 4 buses to add to the City Shuttle [110]. However, make it a reverse loop for those 4 buses [109] thus allowing passengers who would connect to 11 and 13 to battle through the congestion mess, then wait at the Station Interchange for an ontime operation and thus the connecting buses would be close to/or on time.

Once the construction finishes and traffic can flow, buses 11 and 13 would return to Queens Wharf.

What you don't "see" in that hansard, is that a member of parliament said at the end after leave was not granted for the Charlestown MP is that she said "That's gagging".

I really blame that on the idiots (eg: Cassel & his greedy developer mates) who wanted the light rail down the street instead of where it should be - although Save Our Rail is partly to blame for that, for not compromising & supporting the light-rail down the corridor.

On THIS new & previous network, try roughly 52 minutes late!

NO WAY Maybe send 11 via Honeysuckle Dr / Wharf Rd instead of via King St to the Newcastle Station Bus Layover OR to Parnell Pl.

The trams need to be along the streets because that is where people want to use them. Is the late running due to light rail construction? If so, presumably that's a temporary thing then.

A lot of the late running along the CSET has been due to reducing the likes of Anzac Pde from 3 lanes in each direction to just 2. There will still only be two lanes when the line is operating.
