Which family owns which company

Also Murrays.
Re: Which family owns which company
Buslines Group is 2/3 D'Apuzzo family and 1/3 Peter Simpson. Both worked for Michael Gilbert in the 1980's & bought the business off him. In recent years, they have acquired new businesses (Picton) + various taxi businesses & 1/3 of that is owned by their CEO Peter Ferris (whose father Ivan used to own 50% of Parramatta Ryde with Des Kennedy).Albatross wrote:Who owns the Buslines Group? Greyhound is 87 per cent owned by the ANZ Bank. I understand Korda/mentha still hold around 13 per cent.
Greyhound has lost over $200 million and still operates..Me think it mazing! The restructured Greyhound has slimmed down a bit in its express operations and is now concentrating on mining contracts and it's still losing money.

Next Capital bought just over 80% of Forest when 3 of the 4 family shareholders sold out a few years ago. David Royle remained with his <20% holding as CEO. After some relatively minor regional rural acquisitions (Ryan's Bus Service and then Sawtell - both in Coffs Harbour), they since sold the businesses to CDC for a reported $110million in August last year.neilrex wrote:I am not an expert but I do know that Forest is now owned by some big corporation.
Off topic slightly, but CDC then spent $190m and purchased Buslink in QLD and NT in November last year, plus $30 odd million for Blanchs in Ballina earlier this year.

Re: Which family owns which company
Well I can answer for Westbus and Hillsbus for what they were before. Before ComfortDelgro Cabcharge was ever a thing, those two were under the Bosnjak's roof, with Westbus starting in Edensor Park at the hands of John, Bob and Jim Bosnjak.
Rita Oliveri started a topic thread back in 2012 on this board that has spanned a bit of history on the Bosnjaks in case anyone's a litte curious.

Re: Which family owns which company
Speaking of ComfortDelGro's newest acquisitions, FCL has a slightly altered logo shown on its website, with text saying "A ComfortDelGro Company" below the tree and "Forest". Blanch's and Buslink websites has not yet mentioned ComfortDelGro as their parent company, and their logos have not been changed like FCL.
