Trump vs Clinton
I reckon Clinton could get up, it looks as though Trump will not take defeat gracefully.
Re: Trump vs Clinton
I don't understand how Gary Johnson hasn't gotten more media. Seems clearly the best candidate.

Yes (Why couldn't Clinton win? ) Anyways... I heard Hamish and Andy say "And well done toMcDonald Trump!"rogf24 wrote:Very well done to Donald Trump.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

Because she was promising more of the same and people wanted change. Simple really.

Trump wins = $30 billion has been wiped off the Australian Market. This has a huge effect on the Australian Economy. I feel that this could well hit UK since the Brexit as well as France.
The future of the Australian and UK economy will be very bleak.

Re: Trump vs Clinton
A good win for Trump and good on him, look forward to seeing what he can do. Not a big win though, it looks like Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. At least they're going to avoid the awkward 2000 scenario this time and good on the Clinton campaign for conceding to Trump and not letting drag on. It does put a lot of his mandate into question but that shouldn't stop him from making tough decisions.

Not to my economy, if only I had the money to buy into the stock market at that moment of time.Shoudy Chen wrote:Trump wins = $30 billion has been wiped off the Australian Market. Re: Trump vs Clinton
The stock markets crash themselves at the blink of an eye. Its what happens when they blindly believe that Clinton had a win "in the bag."
Our media likes to idolise Clinton as some sort of superhero. In reality, I suspect we're far from getting the full story about her.
Both "Brexit" and Trump's victory are saying something quite clearly: People are getting sick and tired of "the establishment." People are tired of "The Offended Generation." Trump isn't perfect by any means, but compared to Clinton, it will be a breath of fresh air.
Look at the map showing the results from each state, traditional strongholds for the Democrats such as California, New York, New Jersey & Minnesota remain. The rest of the country have voted for Trump; the rest of the country being the one's most-affected by what some describe as progress. The results show us people in big cities have ZERO clue what life is really like outside their airy-fairy, dreamland bubble. Those states voting Trump include those whose livelihood is based on agriculture, manufacturing and labouring, not University educations and high-rise offices.

Well said Merc1107, I believe that is exactly what is happening. Even in Australia, independents are getting more of a chance in the elections.

Trump's Muslim ban idea seems to have hit a wall, oh dear. I wonder if he decides to scrap other parts of his platform.

I don't see the "The Offended Generation" and SJW movement being stopped, even with Brexit and Trump. But however its going to slow down the damage quite a bit.Merc1107 wrote:Both "Brexit" and Trump's victory are saying something quite clearly: People are getting sick and tired of "the establishment." And the establishment really need to be stopped, and maybe that George Sorros jailed.

Re: Trump vs Clinton
What I'm saying about Trump winning is that America will build a mammoth wall over the Mexican border. I think that the wall will cover the roads up so that no Mexican can intrude USA. And this is what Trump was saying. He says that He will make America great again. Indeed Trump is right.
But on the other hand, $2 trillion has been wiped off the Global markets following the Brexit. The future for the global economy will be grim - regardless.

But he was going to get the Mexicans to pay for the wall. How is going to enforce that?

Very simply by shoving a 'wall tax' on every dollar transferred from the US to Mexico, which is a thriving industry engaged in by US based Mexicans who send plenty of money back to the family south of the border.....Fleet Lists wrote:But he was going to get the Mexicans to pay for the wall.
