Re: Let's fix Channel Nine
latest rubbish they have is something along the lines of a Mens Army
While I didn't mind Ladette to Lady that is going too far
I would kill for a Tuesday Night Line up of comedies instead of the rubbish that now exists between 8:30 and 10:30pm

WHat really bugs me is that at the end of al ltheir shows, they say "Produly Australian". Well, at last check. Nine was owned by PBL, which in turn is owned by CVC Media, who are Asians. So, if by Australian they mean Asian, then, yes, they are Australian in every way. If not, false advertising, Nine!

That depends on which part of channel nine you are talking about. Nine Adelaide (and I believe Perth) is owned by WIN.

Re: Let's fix Channel Nine
Two and a Half Men re-runs are the only reason my idiot box goes onto 9. I do sometimes watch Wide World of Sports if I am home on a Saturday arvo and reckon 9 did a good thing by bringing that back. F**king Ramsay gets some air time as well occasionally if there's nothing else on.
Overall though, there hasn't been much need for me to watch 9 since Hey Hey it's Saturday ceased a few years ago.

Aye to that. Even when they get the occasional decent show its a few episodes at a decent time slot then move to midnight and show out of sequence - I just dont think their programmers have the faintest idea.

That would be correct. Next thing you know, it'll be the Win Network! The Phonj wrote:That depends on which part of channel nine you are talking about. Nine Adelaide (and I believe Perth) is owned by WIN.

One way Nine can make a dent in their ratings drought is to bring back the Sex programme.

A Double Dose of Looney Tunes Cartoons before the news
And something suitable for the 5 to 18 Year Olds For 4 to 6pm viewing
A more Youth Orientated Line Up Even If it means having to push News and Current Affairs on weekdays forward an hour
Home Grown Comedies.
Shows to run on time every time.
Every Time another story comes on ACA It delays two and a half men by five minutes.

The first one I don't see happening, but the latter, maybe. But a 5 year old's taste in television would certainly be different from an 18 year old's.PETERGRIFFIN888 wrote:A Double Dose of Looney Tunes Cartoons before the news

Just so long as Thank God You're Here stays on Ten, or goes to Seven, I'm not fussed (I don't get channel nine where I live )PETERGRIFFIN888 wrote:Home Grown Comedies.
It will be a cold day in hell before a commercial FTA network runs on time. They're all guilty of this, period. Foxtel\Austar channels are a bit better (especially TV1 and SciFi, which generally run early).PETERGRIFFIN888 wrote:Shows to run on time every time.
My opinion is that ACA is a stupid, pointless show. Today tonight is a bit better, if not for the fact there are stories on it that could be relevant to me in South Australia more often than not. Just axe it and get it over and done with.PETERGRIFFIN888 wrote:Every Time another story comes on ACA It delays two and a half men by five minutes.

Re: Let's fix Channel Nine
They both suck! You need to watch proper Current Affairs shows like "The 7.30 Report" or "Dateline".Douglas wrote:My opinion is that ACA is a stupid, pointless show. Re: Let's fix Channel Nine
the 2.5 men would rate a lot higher if they had something decent to use as a lead in show to that instead of A Current Affair
Re: Let's fix Channel Nine
What would be a good lead in ? Family Guy ?PETERGRIFFIN888 wrote:the 2.5 men would rate a lot higher if they had something decent to use as a lead in show to that instead of A Current Affair

I doubt Seven would want to let go of it.Huggies wrote:What would be a good lead in ? Family Guy ?PETERGRIFFIN888 wrote:the 2.5 men would rate a lot higher if they had something decent to use as a lead in show to that instead of A Current Affair

Channel 9 is beyond fixing. It sound be demolished and replaced with ABC3, just in case you missed the repeats of the repeats on ABC2.

Perhaps ABC HD will do the job?ABS wrote:Channel 9 is beyond fixing. It sound be demolished and replaced with ABC3, just in case you missed the repeats of the repeats on ABC2.
On a side note I'm surprised at the popularity of 2.5 men...that show tries to hit the mark but fails miserably.

Re: Let's fix Channel Nine
ABC has an innovative new program in the works if rumours are correct. They are considering taking its leading current affairs program out on the road to the masses in an extravagent stage spectacular. See reporter Peter Lloyd in the lead role of ABC's Four Corners On Ice. Coming soon.

Re: Let's fix Channel Nine
Channel Nine again delayed the start of Two and a Half Men last Night GRRRRR.
Stupid A Current Affair again. If they can't get the show over and done with by 7pm It should be dumped
If they ever plan to bring back temptation they should use it to replace ACA at 6:30pm while keeping the 2.5 men at 7pm
A modern day version of the price is right would be an improvement
Even any number of proven long discontinued American Sitcoms has got to be better anytime

2.5 men is a great show.
Has everybody noted the big changes in 9's programme as announced in the print media?

They are finally getting rid of nightline AND Sunday.
To be quite honest do we really need six news bulletins a day on Channel Nine.
Finally they will give us something decent on weeknights after 10pm

Re: Let's fix Channel Nine
Well since the AFL rights has gone to Seven, I think that the NRL should be televised live not just into NSW and QLD, but also VIC, because Victoria barely gets any rugby league coverage, the only match I can think of when an NRL has broadcast into Victoria live away from State of Origin, was the opening round clash between Melbourne Storm v Wests Tigers, and that game was in Melbourne,
So my suggestion is, broadcast any NRL games that involve the Melbourne Storm live into VIC, NSW and QLD

Reduce the News Bulletins to 11am and 6pm respectively.
No more 4:30pm News Bulletins.....I am old enough to remember when Childrens Shows used to exist at that hour after school now sadly no more unless you have a Cable or Satellite Television
Double Doses of Two and a Half Men on weeknights even if it means having to drop that tripe known as A Current Affair for it I am all in favour.
If they must have Talk Shows What About Geraldo or Jerry Springer
And Finally No more Gordon Ramsay(If I wanted a Wanker I would watch the Footy Show)
