Greta Thunberg has good intent, I respectfully acknowledge that climate change exists and some of her motives, I do support the move into the electric vehicle industry as soon as renewable energy becomes the main producer of electricity with a reasonable majority (maybe about >70%). I do, however, believe that some of the moves she makes to prove her points (as well as climate change protesters rambling on and blocking CBDs around the world ironically increasing the amount of pollution emitted by cars) is quite extreme, and further ironic. Boat to the USA? Yes, what material? How was it made? Are you sure it lowered your carbon footprint? How was it transported... etc, you get my point.
This is not what makes me happy today though, and so I will end my post here. Apologies for semi-off-topic discussion.

I strongly believe that she is a puppet.

BUT BUT she took a ride in a boat to avoid plane to the USA. I wonder what material the boat was made out of, and how the material for the boat was made?!!

Cough UR cough cough cccough
Hope the boat was made from recycled materials. Unless otherwise.

Anyway, Managing to get a good photo of Dyson’s bus #1117

Seeing and chatting to one of my former primary school teachers today, makes me feel very old. They remembered the old story about them telling my parents at a parent teacher night that I was lousy at drawing and could not even draw a tree (and still can't- or at least make it look like one) and also the day I fell into a fish pond on a school excursion.

Quite a bit late to the party taking care of some more important business, but absolutely happy with 3AW for the fact that, as was mentioned by scott in the Radio Discussion thread, Denis Walter is moving to Nights next year. And because of that, listeners don't have to put up with Sydney-based John Stanley anymore and I don't have to keep tuning off after Tom's program and keeping it switched off until Tony's show starts after midnight. If I want Sydney-based talkback radio and if I actually wanna hear John Stanley's voice then I'd listen to 2GB, but I don't. I listen more to 3AW because I care more about Melbourne and the rest of Victoria.

The last time I can semi-recall seeing a primary school teacher I was just about to go into High School and my mother and I were at a discount store and we ran into a former casual now permanent at the time(?) teacher of mine. I think we had a quick chat and wished the best for each other and I thanked her for her teaching & efforts. Sadly that's the last I saw of that Teacher. I don't think she teaches anymore but I still have my year 6 special T-Shirt with all of the year 6 teachers and students names on it and her name is on there.

I do know at some point between year 3 and Year 6 my Mother and I were at the shops again and we ran into my Kindergarten teacher but I could not for the life of me guess who she was at the time (i knew her name, but my memory of her wasn't matching up to her since it had been years since I last saw her). I don't remember what we talked about sadly and like the above case that was the last I saw of this teacher as well.

As for the drawing part, don't worry, I can't even draw anything besides basic stick figures myself. Drawing was something I never really picked up on.

The signal from Vodafone back to full strength in my area again after weeks of deteriorating signal strength. It got to the point where I had to go for a drive to another area to be able to browse the web. It would mostly work if I sat outside in the front of the house but with a weak signal that drained the battery.

What's making me happy at the moment is being out and about around the Banko during the two-week bustitution and seeing Transit Systems Region 3 handling some of the Bankstown Line workload, especially the ex-CDC Volgrens; I haven't seen those Bonnyrigg CR228Ls on a bustitution in years.

By the way, ^ Tony Abbott's been a volunteer firefighter for quite some time now.

CR228Ls - like listening to a leaking tap. Pleasant for regular passengers, but otherwise way too quiet for my liking.

What chassis are these bodies you're referring to built on?

The chassis of the CR228Ls in question is the Scania K230UB

Finally finding the correct hammertone paint to repaint my 1980 Victa mower I'm doing up at the moment. After all the prep it went on today and is a spot on match to the original Mayfair gold. Looks fantastic.

Partly right, though there's actually 5 of those K230UBs, then there's the 14 K94UBs and 17 B7RLEs from the old Westbus group of CR228Ls. Some of each were in use during this bustitution, and on one bit of yesterday I rode over to Canterbury on #1234 (the former CDC #6050) which is a B7RLE.

Getting to ride some different buses on the Blue Mountains (NSW) Train replacement underway between Penrith and Lithgow.
Has been mostly generic Chinese vehicles in the past from the Premier Group, but managed a few firsts today, with no Premier vehicles in sight.
Fantastic Aussie Tours Autobus Hi Deck (ex Drivers) and an ex mining M-Benz 1830 of Cumberland. Lots of other interesting vehicles about.

If you happen to be up here one day during Rail replacement one weekend, I suggest you ride the rail replacement buses from Maitland to Newcastle. It's usually operated by Hunter Valley Buses Thornton and there isn't any Chinese buses in the fleet so you usually end up getting the Volgren SC222's 98% of the time with a few low-floors CR228L's chucked in. After a while from an enthusiasts point of view it does get bland but I wouldn't give up these any day of the week.

Now if they could start operating their SB400's & Enduras on rail replacement more often I'd be even more happy.
