What was the track incident with 489?

Looks like the rubber track base has been ripped up?

It was probably caused by a truck or some vehicle getting caught up in it not long before. I was on 489 coming through just after another tram which managed to get through ok. Most trams were diverted around other areas, but I had to walk a fair distance to get back to my apartment! Was fixed fairly quickly though.

I quite like the Solaris range; they look like sturdy vehicles. How many Jelcz vehicles did you see running around? Being a locally made vehicle you'd think there'd be a lot of them.

Thanks,

Jelcz no longer produce buses. The Solaris looks ok, but they are absolutely crap to ride as a passenger. Very rough, hard suspension and uncomfortable seats.
