It's been a long time, I have heard no objections to photosensors to control headlights. Many other things I have pointed out have been ignored.

Ignored because there's really nothing to say. No one has raised any objection, but I would say you're the only one here in support of this solution for a problem that doesn't exist - so there's no point in further discussion.

Trams share the road with other vehicles that only use headlights at night. That's not just the case here but most other countries.

Photosensors turn headlights on and off according to ambient light levels without a person having to activate them. They would remove the need for drivers to activate them without leaving them running. But how can be a cosideration with trams but not other vehicles sharing the road, including buses.

How are photosensors a "solution to a problem that doesn't exist?"

If I'm the only one raising objections, maybe it suprises me that no one else is. I have given links to sites mentioning such objections. Maybe others are failing to get a picture that is so obvious to me.
