Fleet Lists conversion issue.

Post by Hornibrook »

I have noticed, throughout the QLD Fleet Lists that some buses either be current or withdrawn have body dates of 02/2008 which is obviously wrong as they were withdrawn/built before than. Are there still backups of the old pages for each company?

I will try and put a list together of buses which has this.

Also, throughout the Park Ridge Transit lists that buses have 5-Apr of 5-Feb listed as body dates (buses 11 and 12) which should read 5/04 and 5/02.

Unfortumately the Queensland lists were converted in a hurry and done by moving the data through Excel which caused date field in particular often to be changed to a format selected by excel rather than what was required.

We picked up many of these as we went through but I am sure we would have missed a number of them

This is the reason I am doing the other states more slowly without using excel.

I still have copies of all the old lists on my PC as well as backed up on CD.

I have today received a list of items from the conversions which needed correction from Hornibrook for some of thr Brisbane lists and I have made the necessary corrections. There are still more to come.

However he then also started to send me general changes for the Brisbane lists which I have declined to do as once I start doing that I will be stuck with it and that is not what I want to go back to.

This problem has been rectified. I would personally like to thank 'Fleet Lists' for sending me the archived old versions of the lists.
