Fleet numbers as user names
All,
It appears (in the Brisbane/QLD Section at lease) that alot of people now opt for BT fleet numbers as there user name. I think this is highly unacceptable that a fleet number can become someones pseudonym/alias. Is there a way of perhaps changing the rules so people have to either use there real name, or a nickname or something else relevent?? Just a thought I had.

I cant see anything wrong with it.
I dont think we need any more rules as far as user names are concerned.

I agree with Fleet Lists, I see nothing wrong with having it.

Instead of just having a thought, can you justify yourself?BusPicsQLD wrote:I think this is highly unacceptable that a fleet number can become someones pseudonym/alias. I am definitely against using real names on a public Internet forum. We have been through this before and as I recall the main reason behind this motion was to prevent the board administrators from having to change usernames every time there was a fleet change. I for one am keeping T1200, as does C736.

Ok its not the fleet numbers that bother me. What bothers me is that there is a large amount of them now. Off the top of my head there is T1248, T1229, T1200, G1300, G1337 and T1245. If you guys don't have an issue with it, then fair enough, but it is getting rather annoying seeing one person post, and mistaking it for another as there usernames are so similar.

Where have people mistaken it for someone else who made a post..?

I agree there, when I go into the Qld section in particular there seems to be a plethora of names that are all so very similar and it gets annoying.....BusPicsQLD wrote:Ok its not the fleet numbers that bother me. Still I dont really know what you can do about it. Obviously quite a number of your counterparts up in Queensland lack imagination or individuality when it comes to selecting their identity on this forum.Busways K230UB wrote:Yeah, But most of them have Similar looking Avatars, Ie the BCC Blue and yellow with the fleet no.
