SouthLink Changes
I have seen buses 3233 and 3234 and noticed that they aren't on fleet lists. Sorry no Rego, VIN, body date or number, but they are scania K280UBs with CB80 bodes in Redmet livery. Will try and get the ergo but don't know how to find VIN or body numbers. I assume that they are ex-rail replacement vehicles.
First person on 822, 865 (2016 re-route).

3236 is definitely in service. Went on it on an 820 a few weeks ago.

2854 has now been moved to the hills to join 2855. Have seen it around for the last few weeks. Maybe next we will get 2857 (because the you would have 2854-2859)

Don't forget 2856. Although I think at least one of the users here would prefer to see that dumped in an arrestor bed and towed to the scrap yard

2856 and 2854 should both be in the scrap yard (the one on Ironbank Road near Sturt Valley rd)TA3001 wrote:Don't forget 2856. Although I think at least one of the users here would prefer to see that dumped in an arrestor bed and towed to the scrap yard
On another note, it has been mentioned elsewhere that 2517 has gone back to Lonsdale after "long" service leave to the hills!

Re: SouthLink Changes
Well at least they'd get to see their older relatives again, 2553 and 2558 which have obviously been sent to the scrap heapLt. I'm not alone in my contempt for 2856 then.Lt. Commander Data wrote:2856 and 2854 should both be in the scrap yard (the one on Ironbank Road near Sturt Valley rd)TA3001 wrote:Don't forget 2856. No you're not, you can keep that one in Lonsdale and away from Aldgate, and also have 2854 back, we'll take 2857 as a replacementSkexis wrote:I'm not alone in my contempt for 2856 then.Lt. Commander Data wrote:

Re: SouthLink Changes
Personally I found the ride on 2856 in February this year more comfortable than when I went on 2702 in April. The suspension/bounces/shakes were shocking. If I had an option between these two for comfort, I'd choose 2856.

Re: SouthLink Changes
Think I've worked out which buses those three new K280UBs (temporarily?) replaced at Southlink Elizabeth, these being 2550, 2563 and 2558. Not sure what issues the first two had, but these three are definitely not in service.

Not all the 18.280s are perfect. Elizabeth units 2742, 2744 and 2750 sound terrible.Skexis wrote:...and if you wanted reliability you'd choose 2702.TA3001 wrote: If I had an option between these two for comfort, I'd choose 2856.

2563 was in service today, which leaves only 2 Southlink north Scanias unaccounted for

Re: SouthLink Changes
Just to add to the previous post, 2550 was in service today, which only leaves 2558 with the busted engine mounts on the missing list.

Re: SouthLink Changes
Just observed on Transit Times that Scania K320UB 2450 is a Lonsdale bus (it's doing a 721 or something). I don't have any further details about the vehicle

Saw that on fleetlists 3235 and 3236 are based at Lonsdale. I'm pretty sure that they are actually at Aldgate but I'll look on Transittimes because TBH I haven't seen them for a while.

I am quite sure I did hear 3235 on Lonsdale radio channel recently
You got a real flash bus, but my one's flash one, eh
And I believe that my one's faster than yours, Mr Bond
'Cause mine's a red one'

If it was on a weekend, I believe hills radio communication goes via the Lonsdale channel...
