Ex-Transit First Veolia 682 is now at Taren Point depot - spotted today on a school run in Hurstville.

I thought you were going to mention 683 which I saw in Caringbah twice in the past week so it is possible it is also at Taren Point now.

I will treat the first and third as definite transfers for the fleet list but will leave 683 until I have something more definite.

That must have happened quite recently as 672 was last spotted operating a Route 913 from Strathfield Station on the 10th.
It would seem that Menai is progressively getting rid of their Volvos, which started with the B12BLE Bustechs.
By the way, does anyone know what kind of factors are considered when a bus transfer is suggested? Maybe certain bus types are/are not suitable to a certain depot's region?

The 672, 101, 102 change happened just before the holidays but was reversed as extra buses were need on rail at M, now it looks to have stuck.

The B12BLEs left to B I was told by a nightride driver because they have tachographs fitted to them, which are used by Veolia and possibly the RTA to monitor the driving hours of the nightride buses.

Other factors that would influsence vehicle transfers include average fleet age requirements, vehicle kilometre spread (evening out the km amongst the buses), the number of wheelchair accesible vehicles required at each depot and also maintenance/parts inventory at each workshop.

Would it be possible to rename this into a Veolia NSW changes thread and stick to just this one?

*The Veolia Tiger migration to TP looks to be continuing, in the afternoon I sighted (82), which appeared to be on a TP school run. Can anyone else confirm if it is in fact there?

*Furthermore, Scanias (199) and (200) have well and truly gone from TP yet they are still listed. I would assume that they have gone back to V some months ago, as they were only there for maintance.

*Additionally, Scania (223) is actually still in the Yellow front livery, which I sighted also today, just an error with that in the summary.

*Finally, might I suggest that (168) be removed from the list afterall. I have been told it will not be returning to service, after it literally sank up to the windows in what was only thought to be "only a puddle", "she'll be right to get through"...  ... Whatever useable parts will be stripped from it as required.

I noticed today at Sutherland that Veolia bus 135 has lost it AOA "Champion" livery.. and is now gone back to being plain white with advertisements on its side just like buses 136-139.

What happened to 313?? I haven't seen it for a while now. I noticed that someone suggested it was involved in a Nightride crash. If so... does anyone know what date? I have a photo of a pristine 313 taken on 28/09/07...

Volgren 407 has been sprayed all white and is now in full Veolia livery. (which isn't saying much - all white). This leaves 405 as the only green front left. They were spotted today within minutes of each other, both on Liverpool-bound 900s.

Confirmed (82) transferred to TP, sighted once again on one of their runs.
Sighted (137) repainted into all white at Miranda this afternoon on a 970.

408 is in all white. Was spotted today at Strathfield during rail replacement mayhem. This leaves 405 as the only possible green front left.

Bankstown's 622 was sighted today at Beverly Hills on Route 452 - suggesting that it has transferred to Taren Point.

What's the point of swapping the O305s between the two depots??
I think that Taren Point needs some new buses instead of always getting old buses transferred to it. The Volgrens from Menai perhaps??

B has a higher average fleet age so that move might even it a tiny bit, TP has generally been pretty low has they have quite a large amount of O405s/O405NHs. But like I said not sure why at this stage, dunno as to the O305s. Nope - I seriously doubt the Volgren O500's will be moved to TP.

hmmmm well two of the O305's are '80 builds and one a '79 build (as old as me actually) gone to Bankstown. Whereas what's gone to Taren Point are two '78 builds and two '80 builds.

I guess they're spreading around the oldies?

They might be trying to even out the mileage as well in the O305s?

This is the first time that the 12x Mercs have left Taren Point since new to Southtrans.

Well, not exactly. (120) (121) (123) (124) (128) were delivered and spent a bit of time running out of Menai and were moved at a later date to their brothers and sisters at TP.
But you are generally correct in saying that.
