Re: Can't login to Railpage

Seems like Railpage's owners have called it quits. The plug has been pulled. I last saw RP load properly around October.

Re: Victorian Bus Observations 2023

Can only blame the government for Ventura wanting to sell the business.

Better to sell the whole lot than have your property confiscated when you lose your contract.

Those ARCC hydrogen buses are what you get when a Custom 550 and a Gemilang had a baby together. A horrid look.

3AW's Neil Mitchell admitting he's recently accepted the fact that AFL is a national competition despite the "over-emphasis" of the competition being national.

Whatever the hell that means.

Re: Rare and interesting car sightings

Saw a Pagani Huayra on the weekend in Toorak. Surprised it's even allowed to be registered.

Boss at work owns a blue/purple Holden Kingswood that's in immaculate condition on club/historic registration. Only see it at work on Fridays when sunny.

Been down for more than a month. Railpage always has loading issues. Seems very serious if it's down this long.

Although Mustangs are numerous nowadays, you rarely see these. This was taken a fortnight ago.

Go or grow 2.0. This won't be the only small operator to "agree" to hand over their contracted routes. At least Moreland still have their school runs and charter buses. Expect Ryan Brothers and Moonee Valley to face the chopping block in the coming years to either Kastoria, CDC or Kinetic.

Re: Victorian Bus Observations 2023

Spotted a CDC Optimus (unsure of number or depot allocation) on Springvale Road in Mulgrave today (above the Monash freeway) with a scrolling desto advertising driver positions and a phone number to apply for the job.

Spotted that same thing last week in Oakleigh on Thursday.

CONSULTATION OPEN: Victoria's transition to Zero Emissions Buses. Feedback sought from bus operators. Read the paper here. https://engage.vic.gov.au/ZEBtransition Would be interesting if a bus operator refused to take in electric buses. Like what would happen? Would they have their accreditation te...

Custom Endeavours look great - in pictures, no doubt in person too. Too bad these buses won't see life in Ventura navy, yellow and white because buses in Melbourne now are in mandatory orange.

I didn't buy a Lexus IS250 Because life happened (car repairs) but do have $6000 to spend plus $1355 coming from my tax return. Weighing up between a Lexus LS430 or a W210 Mercedes E class Kompressor. It's a known fact that those Mercedes of that era are bulletproof, their biggest drawback is rust ...

I'm about to sink $8600 on a 2005 Lexus IS250 located in Adelaide. Possibly by the end of the week. Pristine condition.

Car is registered in Queensland. Possibly recently moved to Adelaide.

Pakenham and Cranbourne services will again stop at one of the MATH stations, Malvern, from February 13 after a hiatus of how many years?

Frankly, what a silly idea.

In the McDonald's drive thru getting lunch, the car behind me today was a 1990s Honda NSX. These are rarer than a Lamborghini or Ferrari. These Hondas go for 6 figures now. Very nice car.

My current car is my sister's 2002 Hyundai Tiburon, which she bought in 2016 and is past 300,000kms and still running like new apart from general wear and tear like peeling paint in the front bumper and fading paint on the boot just below the rear window. If Pacific National ran a bus company, they'd sell the bus to a scrap metal recycler instead of selling it to another operator
