Re: [Australian] Mike Baird buying new trains off the rack
I can see Oscars staying on the South Coast Line for off peak and weekend services. Most South Coast peak and all weekend services terminate at Martin Place/Bondi Junction and begin from there. I am guessing this will change if they have 10 car trains on the line unless they are given the 8 car vers...

Re: Wulkuraka Maintenance Centre
NGR trains are currently in service on the Airport/ Gold Coast lines, Doomben line and Redcliffe and Springfield lines. The most numerous NGR trains are on the Gold Coast/ Airport lines. They all run through the central stations as all the lines pass through. The Doomben trains often terminate at R...

That is half of T14 and G121, it came back from Auburn like that. I saw it doing a Bondi Junction service with T122.Frodo wrote:Noticed a tangara with 2 ex-G set carriages and 2 normal T-set carriages, didn't catch the numbers though

What lines are the NGR currently servicing? I knew the Gold Coast was first. So many are being delivered but how many are in service and what lines.

Re: NSW Railway Observations - January to June 2018
Random question - What actually happened to T106 after it went in for the upgrades. It hasn't come back onto the network and it has been a while since it went UGL at Auburn.

Re: Wulkuraka Maintenance Centre
Hopefully all issues are sorted soon with the first lot of sets, so emu's can boost 3 car sets to 6 car sets on services that need it.

Re: [Australian] Mike Baird buying new trains off the rack
I think all south coast services should terminate at Central so that there's no temptation to dilute them down as a suburban service with inferior trains. Oscars should be absolutely banned from any long distance service on any line. The only possible way suburban stock can be justified on interurb...

Re: [Australian] Mike Baird buying new trains off the rack
In regards to the Intercity sets running as 8 and 10 car sets, on the South Coast since all peak and weekend services run to Bondi Jctn they would be 8 cars, and 10 cars used for Newcastle/Blue Mtns services. Also another assumption Oscars will still be required to run off peak 4 car services or eve...

Re: Rail Observations - February 2016
Something to think about. The standard working Timetable Books 1 and 2 will be re-issued on 6/3/16. The main changes involve most South Coast services running to different times, headways, stabling and dividing. All services will be Oscar operated. Is there anyway to view the changes? I travel from K...

I do agree with that, A-sets tend to be shaky at times. I like the Oscars sadly many don't.

Re: [Australian] Mike Baird buying new trains off the rack
They may still need to use H/V sets especially for off peak services since they can be divided. I don't mind the Oscars for my two hours of travel each way, five days a week.

Re: Sydney Trains / NSW Trainlink Timetables - 20th Oct
One thing I noticed with the timetable on my line, we now have certain services stopping at Oatley in the morning peak from Kiama/Dapto/Wollongong - Bondi Jctn. So it will be Sutherland-Oatley-Hurstville. oh good, next time i want to get to wollongong, get on the train at oatley instead of changing...
