Re: Bus Observations 2023
A Willoughby Bustech was recently sighted at Parramatta on a 545. Busways does a lot of route sharing between depots and with Willoughby being close to Chatswood it would be quicker for them to get a bus from Willoughby to start a 545 from Chatswood then dead running a bus from Ryde to Chatswood 54...

Re: New bus contracts to drive improved services (as from 2020)
I assume whatever happens to Region 10, 989 will remain as a subcontracted service to Maianbar & Bundeena Bus? Just wouldn’t make much sense for whatever operator of Region 10 to even try to operate that service from their depot outside of the said area

I'm not sure which B7RLE is down at Warnervale since it's not my local area (tho I am aware there is a sole B7RLE CB80 which was CL's own bus prior to their CDC takeover) down at Wanervale. I can confirm m/o 7610 should be floating around the Maitland / Thornton area as I saw it doing school bus ru...

I know they have the Taree main depot and a Forster/Tuncurry satellite depot. There may be one or two more very small ones for outstationed buses

Re: STA Observations 2021
Special event route X24 is in operation once again for the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. I wonder if this route number will remain as is and continue to exist as an anomaly? Maybe this route caught TfNSWby surprise? The service cannot be renumbered to 324X due to the different stopping pattern and d...

Interesting to see Rover apparently running a High-floor on the 160 to the UNI of Newcastle this morning, Iveco Delta SB50. Can't exactly recall the last time they've ran a high-floor on a public service route. If you're talking about the one via John Renshaw Drive as opposed to Hunter Expressway a...

Re: The death of Metrobus.
All of those route numbers will definitely be renumbered. Routes M91 & M92 will most likely be split as these routes traverse a long distance across two regions and if Transdev cannot retain both regions then it will not be efficient to be operating only one of these routes on its own from the ...

Re: December Bus Changes - Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore
Don't forget with some 50x and 51x cut back to Ryde, and city services cut to just Hyde Park/Domain, there should be quite a bit of kilometres available for use elsewhere.

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7
There seems to also be some changes for N90 and N91 in terms of the depot responsible - since STA has operated these routes since 2018, all trips have been done out of Ryde depot, there used to be quite a variety of standard buses on these two routes before all the B8RLE's arrived, however checking...

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7
The new 500X terminus at West Ryde is a bit disappointing. No fanfare in welcoming such a frequent route. Not to mention, still the old yellow bus stop. I would've thought the new hop style bus stop would've been at least, more fitting. Sent from my CPH2025 using Tapatalk should've given the stops ...

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7
Another last minute change - route 115 was previously advertised as terminating at Australia Square, Pitt St. It's now shown as terminating in Bridge St and then outward trips using the Cahill Expressway. Looks like buses will actually layover in Bridge St and not Gresham. Feels like a loop service...

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7
Speaking of Route 525: when the route is shortened to operate out of Strathfield only, it seems the weekend DFO services will also disappear. Currently on weekends they operate in the peak direction for around 3 hours each, at 30 minute intervals. It amounts to around 8 trips per direction per day ...

Re: STA Observations 2021
Looks like this has been addressed with recent changes. I have regularly seen a couple of artics on the 114 on weekend afternoons, Hopefully people also know to use Route 238 (which operates every 20 minutes during weekends) out of Balmoral Beach to interchange at Mosman Junction for Route 100? But...

Re: December Bus Changes - Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore
Something that has crept in ("minor timetable change") is that route 263 now runs fully to Crows Nest (every 60 minutes) on Sundays/public holidays. Previously Sunday service only operated to Amherst St (Cammeray) with an unusual 70 minute frequency. this was advertised before the change,...

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7
http://static.moovitapp.com/v4/maps/Australia_sydney_STA_region_bus_map_west.pdf I found an old bus map without Wilson Park T-way. What is the reason to re-route only one direction onto the T-way and leave the other direction on Holker St? Is there any time saving to use the T-way instead of Holker...

Re: December Bus Changes - Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore
How is the 166 and 155 going to get from Rabbett St to Forestway Shops? And why don't they preserve the current 155 route and use the 169/280 routing for the 166 between Frenches Forest Rd East and Forestway Shops? i'm guessing around the block through the bit of Frenchs Forest south of Warringah R...

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7
I have a minor inkling of suspicion that the new Route 200 will replace Route 320 at the northern end when Region 9 changes (CSELR + other changes) are put into place. So it'll just be Route 320 Mascot - City (Martin Place?) via Rosebery and Route 200 Gore Hill - City - Bondi Jn (Gore Hill - City t...
