The nearest one to me is in the undercover shopping centre carpark. Seems the best location for it.

Re: West Connex Interchange Abject Failure.

It'll be interesting to see if they take up the suggestion of reintroducing two way tolling on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and what the flow on effect from that might be.

Re: Parramatta light rail

Trams 2161 & 2167 were being tested at Westmead terminus tonight 20 March. Variable message signs around Parramatta were advising that tram testing starts on 21 March. Not sure why that date is mentioned. I haven't seen any trams being tested yet, but then if I'm in Parramatta it's usually only...

Re: Rare and interesting car sightings

I was in the City today and went through that passageway down the side of the Hilton Hotel and there were a couple of unusual cars there, as usual. One was a black Maserati SUV, which I suppose isn't that unusual, as there are a few of them around, but the other one was a blue Renault Alpine. I don'...

Re: Rare and interesting car sightings

I've just got back home after a few days in Canberra. I didn't see any interesting cars on the way down or while I was there but I did see some on the way back on the Hume Highway. Four hot rods, one based on a mid 50s American car heading south, and three heading north, one based on a 1920s open Am...

Re: Rare and interesting car sightings

I was waiting for a bus at Prince Alfred Park at Parramatta on Sunday and one of the cars that went past was an immaculate light blue or maybe green (it was night-time, so I'm not sure which it was) Peugeot 504.

Having fallen off a bike at slightly faster than walking pace at the age of 11 or so, come off second best, and still bearing some marks to this day, I would dispute that opinion. It was just as well for me that it happened on the footpath....

Re: Sydney Metro West announced

I find it strange that Lilyfield and Rozelle are not considered worthy of a Metro station. Do they think that the existing light rail and buses are sufficient? Also, although there isn't anything much in the way of housing in the area on the west of Duck River, what's the chance that there will be i...

In that case I won't watch it. I don't want to be responsible for the price of oil going through the roof.

Re: [SMH] Monorail to be pulled down/Acquired by Government

I would have thought Blacktown would have been included but maybe back then it was considered to be country and not city.

I'm surprised though that Casula even existed back then.......

Re: [SMH] Monorail to be pulled down/Acquired by Government

In one place I worked at years ago, the Director had, in his office bookshelves, a Gregory's from about 1950 or so. I had a look through it a few times. The street I lived in wasn't even in it.....

Re: [SMH] Monorail to be pulled down/Acquired by Government

I just realised how old my street directory is. I opened it to check an address and noticed that it has the monorail route and stations marked on it. I think I need a new one. Do they still make them?

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

Aldi are ripoff merchants these days. Their model was originally to pass on prices based off lower overheads from a utilitarian style but have gradually raised prices of everyday items to almost match the duopoly and making their stores look swankier to justify it. They must have figured Aussies ar...
