Re: Dyson Group News 2020
Speaking of school lights, not sure if this is news or not but noticed recently a couple of PTV Optimus have the Fluro school children sticker on the rear between the school lights. I've only ever noticed it before on dedicated school buses.

Re: Langwarrin/Baxter rail ideas
It would definitely be great to see some sort of upgrade. Baxter definitely misses on Transport options. As for Langwarrin, im not sure a station there would be of huge benefit given the rail lines proximity to the densely populated areas. Given the bush around there is all protected species area im...

Re: Victorian Route and Timetable changes 2019
I guess Dysons were the preferred operator. they both operate in Craigieburn currently and in terms of dead running, Dysons Bundoora and Kastoria Westmeadows are almost the exact same distance to Donnybrook, so wouldn't really matter who operated it.

MCI9. I too would suggest the martha cove tunnel would be a problem. Don't have the exact height off the top of my head so I could be wrong but don't think so. When you talk about a greyhound trial, it suggests some time ago. That would have been long before the martha cove tunnel was even talked ab...

HI Timmy1966, Sunshine will operate the 216 and 220. The southern part (603 & 604) will be operated out of heatherton. Recent shift changes have returned all the orbitals (901, 902 & 903) to Keysborough. Heatherton shifts will now only operate 600, 603, 604, 922 & 923. Sunshine will cont...

Re: Ventura livery
The Charter livery is slowing being changed again at the moment. The ventura stickers are being removed from the sides with new stickers (for lack of a better word) being applied covering the last window on either side. In my Opinion not real attractive for a charter livery, especially if the vehicl...

Re: Ventura livery
I know there are a still a few of the older charter buses racing around in their original Grenda Red (the 2 scanias at Knox 94, 95), peninsula Blue Livery etc. Most others are now Plain White. Other than I think a handful of the rail fleet (29, 30, 31, 35, 180 spring to mind) and the oldest Portsea ...

Re: Proposed route 760 Seaford - Cranbourne
Anyone have any observations of this trip so far? Travelled on it today around 130 for the first time and loadings were quite good. Probably a dozen most of the way from Carrum Downs to Cranbourne. Seems a lot of people are using it as an alternative into the new estates around Amstel from Seaford i...

Re: CDC Group News 2019
Tony P, not disagreeing with you about the single leaf door, but this is not really a new thing. I would have to say majority of operators these days (and for some time) have been speccing single leaf doors. Other than TSA, Transperth, and recent stationlink delvieries in NSW I cant really think of ...

Re: Proposed route 760 Seaford - Cranbourne
Timetable now on PTV Website. General Frequency is 40 minutes with some oddities in both morning and afternoon peak. Not sure how realistic some of the timings are going to be, especially between Carrum Downs and Cranbourne in the afternoon peak with most trips only having less than 5 minutes turnar...

After reading the article above noticed the sale of NZ bus to Next Capital last December. Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else. Of interest is that Next capital are the same company who Sold Forest to CDC less than 6 months before reinvesting in buses.

Re: Ventura Group News 2019
one has to wonder if Seaford and Rosebud will remain standalone. Seaford has a number of 782s that start/finish at Balnarring and 781s from Mt Martha, and Rosebud has a number of 788s that start/end at Frankston. I would think its unlikely they will change but still food for thought. without doing c...

Re: Victorian Rail & Tram Observations 2018
A very busy December with Shutdowns on the Pakenham/Cranbourne lines for the next 23 days, plus route 64 tram replacement until I think the 10th, Gippsland shutdown in its entirety until 17th plus Ballarat shutdown from the 8th until I think the 14th. Southern cross interchange will be a hive of act...

All very interesting points Craig, definitely agree, I would like to see it maybe just continue to the corner of ballarto and hall then Left to Carrum Downs shopping centre This area of ballarto road is not currently not covered and the dog leg just overlaps the 832 if im not mistaken. I wouldn't sa...

Re: Proposed route 760 Seaford - Cranbourne
I would have to agree with some of your points. The main issue I see with this route is the proposed route during peak hour. Just yesterday afternoon it took me over 30 minutes to travel Hall Road from Carrum Downs to Cranbourne West. Either the timetable will need to use 2 (maybe even 3) buses to m...

Long overdue. Ive submitted my feedback. I cant help but think that Thompson Road would be a better alternative instead of Hall Road, considering it in the process of being duplicated. Interesting if this becomes a Ventura Route or Cranbourne Transit route -

Its interesting that AAT Kings are following the fleet numbering System of their recent interest Downunder Tours in Cairns- ie seating Capacity (32) followed by the order in which they were delivered (1) = 321. Possibly an example of where the bus will be delivered, also considering Downunder tours ...
