Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

There's that, but that's outside of Metro land. Brings me back to the subway scene in 1974's Death Wish where true justice was delivered swiftly without the need for CCTV at all.
Nor a court for that matter.

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

CCTV is also advancing with AI. Picking up & following troublemakers from camera to camera. Alerting the operator in the meantime. With the added ability to alert the operator if the troublemakers resurface on CCTV in the future. Sent from my SM-S911B using Tapatalk THAT sounds hopeful. Hurry u...

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

In the case of Paul Kersey played by Charles Bronson in Death Wish, CCTV cameras would have served to protect the muggers from him!

Re: Trailerbus

slow riding has the same risk as walking. .. Having fallen off a bike at slightly faster than walking pace at the age of 11 or so, come off second best, and still bearing some marks to this day, I would dispute that opinion. It was just as well for me that it happened on the footpath.... Yet how ma...

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

With these unmanned trains, what security measures are there against undesirables with evil in their hearts?
I know a lady who lives 5 minutes from the new Victoria Cross station at North Sydney and she said there's no way she'll use the service after dark.

Re: Bus Observations 2024.

Bad smash, Davis Rd, T-Way, Wetherill Park. M/O 6001 (TSA 1241) was involved. https://7news.com.au/news/six-injured-as-truck-and-bus-collide-near-intersection-in-wetherill-park-sydney-c-14705271 I think I overheard that story in the backgound on Seven News last night and they mentioned one of the d...

Re: Bus Observations 2024.

Microwave, a crashy ride should be obvious what it means. No compliant ride over any bumps at the rear. It feels like only the tyres are the suspension. The CB80 is compliant. I'll take loose panels over a hard crashy ride all day long. Same story with former STA K280UB comparison between the two bo...

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

Passing through Chatswood recently I noticed the Metro from Tallawong deposited all passengers at Chatswood, and then it continued empty down into the dive into the city. While I believe this ghost through trial running has been going on for a while (seen it on reddit), it hasn't been reported here...

Re: Bus Observations 2024.

And what about the problem of the crashy ride on certain chassis with the Bustech, like the Scania K series and MAN 18/19 series? In both cases, the custom CB80 on the same chassis ride fine.

No, well worth reporting, I forgot there were B10BLEs with that bodywork.
Is it the one of the early ones with the headlight surrounds blended with the bumper? You can always use paint to disguise that!

Re: Bus Observations 2024.

Calling it an obsession doesn't make the issue go away. Is an unacceptable backwards arrangement that's a sign of lax standards in the bubble that is the Australian bus industry. That such a design saw the light of day is an insult to the customer base they were intended for. Perth are the only ligh...

You have to stop letting white anglos make transport decisions and get decision makers from Germany, France, Japan, Czech Republic or Italy to take over the reigns. Watch it improve in a week.

Quite right! In the past I've watched videos on that channel of the SG192 to try and figure out how those might've sounded.

This farcical court case of Donald Trump with all the dirty linen from that porn actress rumoured to be an escort Storm in a teacup Daniels. She's got the most bitter twisted look on her face. Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

London is still well ahead. To their standards 5 mins is a long wait - off peak. The longer people have to wait at a station the slower you make their average speed getting places. This is not good enough for the expenditure and how new this is and without drivers. I guess we can't make the legacy s...
