Re: What make of car does Homer Simpson drive?

It's good that they use real cars once in a while, adds to the aesthetics of the show. Good to see some VW reppin but I'm sure I've seen Jettas and Passats on there too

Re: What litreage does your car get?

Been driving the 'rent's Touareg for the past 2 days and this morning I filled up the 100 litre tank.

I think I haven't even done 200km yet and I've already used 1/4 of the tank at about 17L/100km (city driving). It's unbelieveable how SLOW that car is..

Re: Get trucks out of the right lane

And I think at ALL times they should stay out of the right hand lane, no exceptions and speed limited to 90 like they are speed limited to 100 right now. They'll get used to it. I've noticed even the trucks that are meant to be limited to 100 (sporting the sign) manage to overtake me while I'm goin...

Re: Your drinking habits

I drink lots every 2nd or 3rd weekend. During week normally don't drink to much. Except last week.Being in Sydney for 3 weeks I been drinking at the pub quite often in the afternoon. Saturday night I spent over 100 Bucks.... I really don't know how, I wasn't even drunk! $100? That would be a dream ...

Re: Your drinking habits

As a wise man one mentioned: "Alcohol; the problem and solution to all life's problems." I'd probably drink 2-3 times a month mainly on the weekend but only when out with friends i.e. clubbing. It helps deal with issues and they don't seem to be such a big deal at the time.. Too bad they still exist...

Re: What litreage does your car get?

But when you say that diesel cars produce more harmful emissions, what are you comparing it to? I normally go off the CO2 emissions and comparing the TDI and FSI Jettas; the TDI is 38grams lighter than the FSI model per 100km. There's also some other information on Redbook but I don't particularly ...

Re: What litreage does your car get?

On a recent trip to and from Coolum I got 4.8L/100km!! But my average from full to empty would have to be around the 7.2L/100km mark. But in saying that, I don't drive like a Granny  (Not saying I drive like a hoon either). My economy's set to improve as I've just had my car chipped.. (2007 VW ...

Re: Mobile phone use in cars

I'll admit that I text while driving (in NO way saying that i'm proud of it and that it's right). I have a normal number pad (as opposed to touch screen) and I can generally text while the car's moving. Then once i've stopped for any reason, I'll glance at the screen to make sure the message looks r...
