Re: Private Observations 2019

It's MAN 10.180 6AB7520003MC00104 with GBW body C85 of 6/1990, new to Tropic Wings Tours of Cairns as (20) 743 AWG. It's been in NSW since 6/2005 but its ownership had gone unreported until now.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019

Does anyone know the operator of the Denning Landseer double-decker registered 1GTB356 (or 536?) which is currently running around Perth as the WA Labor campaign bus for the Federal Election? My guess is Horizons West, the last 'reported' operator of former Deluxe 196 [http://perthbus.info/report.p...

Re: 1974 Denning No 480 history

Hi Mick Denning 480 was new to Starliner Coaches, which in 1974 was owned by Bernie Best. Its original registration has never been reported, so if it appears on any documents that you have, please let us know. Fred Carah purchased Starliner around the middle of 1978. The next reported owner was Camp...

Re: Rex Law's Redline Coaches

Hi VIKing Thanks for the extra detail. The transfer of the MO 7097 plates to the Tourmaster was in 12/1980. At some point thereafter the coach was sold to Stuart's of Nowra, where it was registered MO 7436 and re-seated B49F. The online Stuart's list describes the Albion as sold for a motorhome conv...

Re: TV plates

The country issued gold plates lasted a couple of years longer before they were all replaced. There were at least a couple of gold-on-black TV plates that lasted much longer. Kiama Coachlines operated a MAN 22.360 with Coach Design from new in 5/1994 on gold-on-black TV 624 plates. Another Kiama MA...

Re: TV plates

Is the NSW bus industry about to be inflicted with those hideous new National Heavy Vehicle plates? The short answer is no. Re: Rex Law's Redline Coaches

Hi Glenn

This is a Vic Hayes photo of what I understand to be Redline (53). If you compare it to Industry's photo above, photos of (53) in service with Redline, and the photo earlier in this thread of the motorhome 011 REO, I think they are all the same coach.

Top End Escapes ceased operation on 9/11/2010, and the Landseer rego m/o 3316 expired on 16/3/2011. A check of PPSR last year showed it not to have been subsequently re-registered in any jurisdiction.

Re: Rex Law's Redline Coaches

Hi Glenn This is a really interesting discovery. It becomes more interesting when you see that 23 became 22. Is this your photo? 6a.jpg Denning body 6 was (22) NLS 437, then NML 349 at some time after 7/1962 (perhaps to replace a lost or damaged plate?), then sold on the same plate as per Industry's...

Re: Huon Bedfords [identification]

Some hunting around online turned up some details.

AS 7390 seems to be BLP2DFJ550856 of 1977. Registration expired 1.6.2011.
DD 8957 registration dates to about 1997, and expired 26.11.2008.
EJ 3051 chassis begins with BLP2DGJ, registration dates to around 2001, and is registered to 22.6.2018.

My post was a bit unclear. The image I posted was of 1050 to show that it has duals on the tag and is not the coach you asked about.

Re: Landseer prototype

As I understand it, the first Landseer built on a DL-prefix chassis was 1081, completed in 6/1985. Six Landseers were built on DA-prefix DenAir chassis, though half of them were finished after 1081 was. They were 1030 to VIP 1050 to Briscoe's - see photo below, it had duals on the tag 1070 to Sunshi...

Re: Henry Kendall Denning.

Hi Allan TXX 987 was at once stage owned by the NSW Ambulance Service and operated from Point Clare. There is a picture of it in an issue of ABP in NSWAS livery with fleet number 280. No idea what the interior layout was like at that time though. The TXX 987 registration dates to around August 1995.
