By far the biggest success is the tendered bus contract system. As much as I don't like certain aspects, and they don't have it entirely right, it is the best thing for Sydney. Now they just need to finish the job they started.

You're going to have to have it reinspected when it's done, so is there any reason for keeping it registered? If you need to move it while its being done, surely you'd be better off paying for individual permits.

I love plates, and spent a lot of time with a previous employer shuffling 3 digit Western Australian TC plates around only to have them swept out and replaced with CVL (Charter Vehicle Licence) plates. And they're not compulsory!

They're not too bad, Boronia. I've got one at the moment that's been pretty mistreated and will want a rebuild in the next 12 months. It's still much, much quicker than a 1HZ Coaster.
