Re: Video games and Music

I’m a particular fan of race car games, like the Forza series (Motorsport/Horizon) and Need for Speed. Also quite like Nintendo’s Mario Kart games. Absolutely love them!

Post Covid-19: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

I thought I create a new thread regarding post covid-19, and what you think may happen after this all dies down and restrictions begin to ease I reckon we may not see international travel until early next year (at the earliest). Seems too much of a risk to me to recommence in the next couple of mont...

International Aviation Thread

Sister to the “Australian Aviation Thread,” this thread can be a discussion on aviation related news, airlines, airports and whatnot outside of Australia. To start off I just read an article on the Executive traveller website that Emirates plan to retain its A380’s. An interesting decision, given th...

Re: Transdev Melbourne News 2020

To keep up to speed, one month ago, Transdev announced a new managing director for Melbourne, replacing Ian Craig. Interesting to elect a new managing director during the covid-19 pandemic Title: TRANSDEV ANNOUNCES NEW MELBOURNE MANAGING DIRECTOR https://www.busnews.com.au/industry-news/2004/transde...

Yeah I saw that bus too. Nice to see it back on the road. One key difference I’ve spotted is that it’s now #140, instead of #380140

Looks like the error has been fixed up :). I’m no longer getting the error message. Thanks guys

Also, nice upgrade. One key thing I’ve noticed is that the “thanks” button has been removed

Re: Australian Aviation Thread - 2020

A lot of interesting unusual visitors to Australia over the past couple of months. Sydney has had: - Austrian airlines - Saudia - Edelweiss air - Suparna airlines (special cargo flight from Wuhan) - KLM - Condor - Antonov Design Bureau - LOT Polish Airlines - Sri Lankan Airlines (cargo flight) - Ibe...

And even VIRGIN AUSTRALIA'S Sydney to Melbourne flight is only running 6 times a week, with the service not running on Saturdays. Virgin Australia is suspending all domestic flights except for a single Sydney-Melbourne return service, which will run once per day except for Saturdays. Clearly Virgin ...

Re: PTV Livery Buses & Coaches - 2020

A bit of an update to the list: - Further buses have joined Ventura's fleet in the PTV livery scheme. One I found most interesting was an additional newbie for West Heidelberg depot, #1432 - Ventura has removed another Custom Coaches CB60 from service, #1196, which was the Ethanol bus. Has now been ...

Re: What makes you happy today?

MKR being hammered in the ratings- last night was not good. in 17th place with 402,000 viewers, falling to 5th in it's timeslot. Even The Chase Australia managed to get more viewers than My Kitchen Rules, which is interesting. With that in mind, however, channel 7 do have increasing competition thi...

Re: Australian Aviation Thread - 2020

Lots of flights have been cancelled from China (mainland) to Australia due to the coronavirus outbreak. One noticeably rather big news that popped up yesterday is Virgin Australia axing flights for good from Hong Kong from March 2, 2020, ending shortly after Melbourne is from next Monday (11th Febru...

Dysons #1186 (in PTV/VLINE livery) is now in service as well as Cranbourne Transit #88 (reported today on Fleetlists), with only 2 other vehicles due to commence service

Edit: The 2 other vehicles mentioned above are registered as #87 and #89 and are BOTH now in service.

Dysons got a new vline coach 1186 at wangaratta with two more on the way. For now it has been added to the "on order" section (as listed on Fleetlists). However, if it's a confirmed sighting, I'll change it when I can. Have finally managed to complete the regional buses in PTV Livery section. Thank...

Being able to do Go-Karting 8) 8) 8) a few weeks ago on a decent track during the summer holidays. Honestly it's a lot of fun being able to move around in Go karts (funny thing: the ones I went on are capable of reaching 60km/h).

Great to see there is still some vehicle manufacturing in Australia still going strong. Dead straight. We've lost Ford and Holden, but at least we still have good ol' Volgren. Safe to say, 2019 was one heck of a year for Volgren... - 40th anniversary (as per the link in your post) - 5000th bus out ...

To be fair, I don't think either of the mining industries (BHP or Adani) predicted to have their production being impacted by the bushfires. There has been a bit of rain lately, which is perhaps a bit of good news for those tackling the blazes and more is expected this evening and over the next few ...

They are a bit more rare to find, but not extinct. I saw one last year during the summer break near the beach

The most obvious ice cream trucks I know are at the viewing point located at the northern end of the runway at Melbourne Airport (and they are there all the time)
